Initial thoughts:

  • Omega Computing.co.uk <-- why's there a space in a URL?
  • Font is blurry.
  • 'Memberships' spelt wrong.
  • The images at the bottom right (for xbox live etc) just look kinda wrong - I can't see what they are, they don't line up with the 'shop, forums etc' text above them, a couple of the images have 2 parts to them, they just don't sit well on the page.
  • The 'ribbons' look cool.

or this one

The ribbon looks alright, but its huge! Made smaller it could be ok and used throughout the site, kinda like Neowins small header.

I agree, the ribbon is too big. As for the versions, I think the the first one looks better. You could probably change the images into small text links or small coloured text, etc.

keeping the ribbon how it is at the moment heres another draft

ive addressed the font issue and used a totally new one, corrected spelling mistake, and i think ive resolved the blury text problem

Not going to offer critique on the template, I just wanted to point a couple of things out.

I was checking out your site, and on the home page you have a lot of text that has been copied and pasted from http://electronicfirst.com/updates-recent-...box-live-codes/ and some more copied from http://cheapxboxlivecodes.com/support-at-c...box-live-codes/ and http://www.instantlivecodes.com/support.html

Secondly, It's Xbox, not X-box. It has never been called X-box. You jump between the two spellings quite often, so you know one is right.

Thirdly, in the UK, we do not use commas in prices. So when you say something is ?19,99, you should be saying ?19.99.

Fourthly, the flag at the top of the page is the American flag. I guess it's to show that the website is written in English, but with the .co.uk domain and the pound sterling currency it looks a little off. And when you don't have any other languages available anyway, seems a little redundant.

And lastly, your descriptions are inaccurate. e.g. http://www.omega-computing.co.uk/shop/prod...p?id_product=14

X-Box Live members have a Multiplayer gameplay option. This is a system that can allow users to link up 4 Xbox?s to play together.

Rating system that allows other players to vote for you; this reputation system will determine if players will prefer you or wish to avoid you.

Achievement points, known as Gamerscores are given to players for their individual achievements

There is also a enhanced matchmaking using cumulative gamerscore, reputation, location/language profile, and gamer zone

Voice Chat allows users to chat with others, headset is required for this, Xbox Live Gold members can take advantage of the 3+ player voice chat. Video Chat known as Live Vision is also an option, but a camera is required and also a with headset for chatting

Players are provided with a Friends list, this allows player?s to choose from a list of friends. Players are allowed to store up to 100 friends. There is also the option of a recent players list, this lists the last 50 friends a user has played with.

Also a section where an individual can lists personal interests and their favourite links etc.

System in place that allows users to report another player who has broken the Xbox Live Terms of Use

System for Parental control in place, the ?Family Setting? limits children?s exposure and giving parents peace of mind.

Windows Live messenger integration gives you access to the Xbox Live Marketplace content, including new game content.

Ignoring the fact that this is quite crudely written, system link is available without an Xbox Live membership. Also, http://www.omega-computing.co.uk/shop/prod...p?id_product=12

This points code allows you to download extra exclusive content from the Xbox Live Market place. Simply redeem this code in the Xbox Live Market Place for downloadable content, games, demos, trailers and more. Keep your gaming up to date with the latest downloads. Access unique content only for the Xbox 360 through the Xbox Live Market Place.

Point codes don't allow you to download exclusive content, and it's 'Marketplace', not 'Market Place'. The rest of the description then talks about the advantages of a Gold XBL subscription, which is nothing to do with the product.

There are a few other things but these are the points that bugged me most. I hope it helps. Apologies for intruding on this thread.

Got to put the tm after microsoft.

Words that do not need capitol letters as first letter.

and much more.... would look nicer.

I would of liked it say if you could browse the internet with a Sinclair Spectrum, as that is what it reminds me of.

I think you should remove the ".co.uk" from the title text; either that or remove the space in the middle.

I love the ribbons as they are. I believe all the text (the title text, the navigation links etc) should be the colours of the ribbon and not different shades. E.g. 'Shop' is a different shade of blue to the blue in the ribbon. If the shades matched those in the ribbon, I think this could look quite nice.

I also recommend placing a bit of a space after the paragraph and above the navigation links (they are quite close to the ribbon at the moment; they'd look nice close like that, but I believe there should be a bit of a space).

If you take those suggestions on board, it may still need a little bit of tweaking (perhaps not), but I think you'd be on for quite a nice, unique design

Ive dropped the space in the main logo, and im still trying to get the same shades for the links down, but the main image was done in gimp by another member on here, since im using cs4 im not sure on how to get the same shade.

Im open to ideas on how to do it though, and im working on the spacing now

Thanks calum

Regarding the image taking up the on-screen real estate, does no one else think that the 24 pointless horizontal lines are distracting? They are bright, and take up a LOT of room for no real purpose that I can tell. I would almost prefer they be merged in the areas where they run parallel and then split to diverge.

The image reminds me of something designed in the 1980s (trust me, I was born in 1966, so I know very well what the '80s were like), but if it is what you like, that is fine. Just make it less distracting and intrusive.

Not sure if it has been pointed out. But seriously omega-computing? Perhaps it's just a spare domain you had lying around? But domains are what ?8 a year, I'm sure you can come up with a better name, that actually relates to the product your selling.

    • Forza Horizon 6 gets big bug-fixing and balancing update by Taras Buria Today, Playground Games released a big Forza Horizon 6 update with a long list of fixes, patches, and balancing tweaks that the studio promised earlier. Version 375.327 is now available on Steam, Microsoft Store, and Xbox, offering users improvements for AI, audio, design, performance, road discovery, upgrades, visuals, online play, and more. Some of the most notable changes in the Series 2 update include rebalanced drivatars, particularly their difficulty and race start behavior. As such, the game should be more balanced on higher difficulty levels, and AI cars should not shoot out when the race starts as if they have rocket boosters. Speaking of difficulty, developers nerfed Drag Tires physics for a more expected and realistic behavior. They are no longer the go-to option for record-breaking times in road racing, and all leaderboard entries with drag tires will be removed. Completionists will also be glad to get a new feature that lets you see road discovery percentage in each region, which should make discovering all roads easier while keeping it quite challenging and interesting (I spent quite a long time finding the last road). Festival Playlist is also getting some much-needed fixes, including patches for bugs that allowed completing Seasonal Jobs ahead of time or where weekly challenges would not unlock for some players. Developers will retroactively give reward points to all who could not complete all challenges due to these bugs. Other changes include changes to Horizon Play progression so that it is easier to reach Level 100, audio improvements on lower-spec devices, fixes for visual glitches, including pixelated smoke, and more. Developers also addressed the currently non-working Eliminator, an online mode gamers used to farm credits with a Hummer EV exploit. Playground Games plans to re-enable it soon. As a gesture of goodwill, players will get a free McLaren Sabre. Those who used the exploit will not be banned, but developers plan to roll back credits to a maximum of 10M for all who farmed credits using the exploit. You can find the complete changelog for the latest Forza Horizon 6 update here.
