[Official] Mass Effect 2

Just like how the fleet of reapers are giant crab like things, they must have used their genetic material to build the current fleet. Is it a crab or squid? Who knows lol.

they do look like thorians from ME1, maybe thats why they have the power to indoctrinate?

The romance sub plots should only be seen as a complement rather than a main feature. If you're so desperate to playing dating sims, then go to newgrounds.com and enjoy that. >_>

Or perhaps you can let us enjoy the game as we see fit. I think the relationship aspect of these games is interesting, and I like participating in them. I'm not sure why you care how we play the game anyway.

Finished it the other day on PC, brilliant game. I'm looking forward to the extra DLC too. It's a shame they force you to have the DVD in the drive though, the original Mass Effect had a one time activation which seemed pretty reasonable. That's the only minor complaint :)

I particularly like

how you bump into pretty much everyone from the first game, even the side quests (provided you didn't kill them), rather than just the main characters.

Nice bit of continuity (not sure if that counts as a spoiler or not).

This was posted on the bioware forums for those who want the Dr Pepper dlc items:

It works even though I haven't gotten them to download yet, it says it goes through. You just have to make a new account for each code. Also it works for those not in the US.

Worked like a charm for me, got all three helmets, thanks! I thought they would be lame helmets with dr pepper logos, but they are actually really cool and fit well with the game.

I don't know what I did but load times are much faster now, on the PC. I've been playing since release day and the change is definitely noticeable. Also, going from the different levels in the Normandy is near-instant.

huh... If you find out do tell!

I'm not sure my PC is up to speed for this game, only got a 8600GT everything else is in spec for recommended....hmm wonder if its worth the risk getting it. Does look good.

I have a Q6600, 8800 GT, 4 GB of RAM and I have been enjoying the game with max settings, 1920x1080, and very smooth gameplay. I haven't checked my FPS but it is quite noticeably more smooth than Mass Effect 1 is on the same PC. If I can do max settings with an 8800 I would think you could enjoy the game quite well with an 8600, maybe even with max settings too - it doesn't seem to be giving my 8800 any trouble.

On another note, I can't wait to play this all weekend! Now about 10-15 hours in and I have been able to get past all the changes from ME1 now, I actually like this one much better. It's very cool to upgrade your ship and crew as a whole, rather than filling in stat points for a more traditional RPG. It definitely feels more like you are commanding a ship this time around.

8600 are a lot weaker then the 8800gt. He should do about medium settings without issues, max i doubt. I have the same card as you and it runs great as all, maxed out with the AA profile for nHance.

Completed the game on Veteran a few days ago with my paragon Vanguard with all members making it :) Found it fairly easy with Charge and shotgun, but very very enjoyable. One of the best gaming experiences I've had I think!

Upped the ante now by taking that same character through another playthrough on Insanity mode and wow it's tough!! A lot of the Vanguard's powers are rendered useless as all enemies have a barrier/shield/armour and its pretty much suicide using Charge. Insanity is a whole new ball game but at least it's a challenge now and I'm slowly grinding my way through..

Just finished Horizon and it literally took about 20 tries and 3 or 4 hours to do the last section with the Scions and the Praetorian!!! Argh!

ii kinda feel sorry for people who didn't import a save game from the first one. you are actually missing out on some pretty cool touches. all the side quests and people you help/screw fro mthe first all make an appearance in me2. It's a really really cool unique touch to this game. Definitely a gow and it's just febuary.

Quick question. I have just completed the game and its presented me with 2 choices.

One being to continue the game and attempt to do all unfinished missions and the other being to import Shepard into a new game at the current level etc. My question is if I choose to carry on playing can I then import him later if I choose to play the game over again?

yes you can. if you click on new game you should see the option to import an me2 character.

Finally finished all of my loyalty missions last night, so I guess all I have to do now is go to the Omega 4 Relay or finish the small side quests.

Question - I read somewhere that your urgency to go to the Omega 4 relay is put into the equation as far as whether parts of your crew survives in the end mission or not. Is this true?

    • draw.io Desktop 30.2.4 by Razvan Serea draw.io desktop is a downloadable security-first diagramming application that runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. Creating diagrams in the desktop app doesn’t need an internet connection. This is useful when you are disconnected or when you must create diagrams in a highly secure environment, where data protection is of the utmost importance. When you use the draw.io desktop app, your diagrams will be stored on your local device. Because this is a stand-alone application, also designed to run offline, there are no interfaces to cloud storage platforms available. Of course, you can still store your diagrams in folders that are synchronised to your cloud storage if you wish. Easy-to-use diagram editor The draw.io apps work just like the office and drawing tools you are used to using. Drag and drop shapes from the shape libraries and drag to draw connectors between them. Drag connectors to add waypoints and set a precise shape and position, or let them reroute automatically. Double click and start typing to add a label to anything. Create tables and swimlane flows with a familiar tool. Style shapes and connectors with customisable palettes, sketch options, fonts and text formatting tools. Search for shapes, including in open-source icon libraries. Use our vast libraries of shapes and templates, organised into logical categories, to create a range of diagrams and infographics. • Microsoft will soon allow some users to block Copilot from analyzing their Office files by Usama Jawad Microsoft Purview is a pretty useful data governance, security, and management service that allows customers to gain enhanced visibility and control over their content. It's meant for commercial customers, such as organizations that are storing data at scale. As AI continues to expand and infiltrate every corner of a firm, many are a bit conscious about the technology gaining access to their confidential data. Microsoft is now making a configuration change that will allow such customers to rest easy. Right now, users within an organization have the option to apply Purview sensitivity labels (when available) to secure certain files and label them as such. For example, if you apply the "Confidential" label on an Excel file, the file will be encrypted, and a "confidential" watermark will be applied to it. So, if this file is shared with anyone, they are aware that its access is supposed to be restricted. Up until now, Microsoft was allowing some connected experiences, like its AI services, to analyze files, regardless of their sensitivity label. This is of major concern to most organizations, as a recent example highlighted how confidential emails with data loss prevention (DLP) policies like privacy labels were being uploaded to Copilot for analysis. As such, Microsoft is updating an existing Purview data label sensitivity setting that prevents "some connected experiences that analyze content", from being blocked completely from doing this. The label isn't changing, but the blocking is now being enforced across all connected services (including Copilot and other AI tools), and now extends to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Files with the label applied already will get this enhancement automatically too once it becomes available. Microsoft has urged IT admins to inform their respective helpdesk and compliance teams, update internal documentation, and review sensitivity labels to ensure that they meet their respective compliance needs. This change is tagged as MC1297982 in the Message Center. General availability is scheduled to begin in a phased manner soon and will complete by the end of next month. That said, it is important to note that this only applies to commercial customers who have a license that allows them to use Purview.
