Is this not yet implemented or if it is, where do I go to change it?

Hi,

You can't have scenes for the forums, because the design is fluid (i.e. it changes width) - the scenes are only compatible with the fixed-width main site.

A mod or admin can jump on this to confirm, but this is basically it. :p

better compatibility for mobile phones? Long shot though I really don't know. We should have an option per member to set either to fix width or dynamic width.

Couldn't it just be an option in the theme drop down at the top of the page (when that gets put back in) ?

Later we may offer a tiled option for scenes, something that doesn't break dynamic width anyway.

Could be a challenge for members to come up with some good ones, like they already have on main.

Any plans to allow a "specify url of image" for the scenes? So we could make own one and use them without browser hacks? Or possibly use images with copyright material on our personal machines which Neowin could never officially host.

I made one correction in the quote above. The container/header bits weren't wrapped inside the domain braces (else it becomes a global script).

This also works in Opera if you use Site Preferences.

If you're using Firefox 3.6, you can use -moz-background-size to ensure the image covers the entire area while remaining a fluid width.

You need to supply a larger image of course, but with wallpapers and such it looks quite good.
