So the Top DX11 Requirments, require a Fermi card that isn't even out yet.

Superb. Well played THQ, well played

Likely similar performance ATI DX11 cards. Based on the requirements, they seem to heavily favor nVidia though, so they probably optimized the game for nVidia cards (not a single mention of ATI cards in any of their requirements).

That being said, never heard of the game till now, doesn't seem to be my style game either. So good luck to those who wish to play it.

This game looks absolutely amazing visually from the screens I have seen, so not surprised by these specs.

So I should be able to run it Medium to High without any of the fancy DX11 stuff. Who knows though by the time it comes out I very well may pick up a DX11 card. Unlikely but possible.

well it is out next month so good luck on your DX11 purchase

Interesting, but understandable. Game developers should have more realistic requirements. I just hope the game performs well. As for the game being optimized for NVIDIA video cards, I highly doubt it. ATI has had their DX11 video cards out for a while now and they worked with most DX11 developers. NVIDIA is simply too late to the playing field with their DX11 video cards.

I had no idea it released next month, I thought this was like a Holiday release. So yeah, no way at all I will be getting a DX11 card by the time this game comes out, no way at all.

Looks like we've got another Crysis on our hands.

Most likely - like Crysis, 2+ years after its release it'll still cost a fortune to run maxed out at a decent framerate. I wouldn't even count on it running maxed out decently on a Fermi 480

Appears so and about time, we needed another Benchmark milestone!

Although, now we have to hear people moan and whine like 3 year olds how their PCs can't cope, how lame it is etc.

Those same people are likely the ones moaning and kvetching about the eased-up graphical requirements of Supreme Commander 2 compared to the original (which had system requirements that rivaled those of Crysis) and the eased-up *brain* requirements of most of the RTS cycle in general (not just Supreme Commander 2, but C&C 4 and Starcraft 2, not to mention Sins of a Solar Empire).

The game looks 'meh', in spite of the high requirements. After seeing the GTX480 benchmark on engadget, in how it basically matches the 6 month old HD 5870 in most benches, I don't care what Nvidia is up to, glad I stuck with ATI on my new build.

Honestly, it reminds me a lot of the Metro in Fallout 3, just darker, and different enemies.

I don't get why people give companys **** for releasing games that require yet to be released hardware to run them at full settings.

I could understand if the game didn't look great but that's not the case with this game.

Sure it's recommended system requirements are about the same as most new fps's optimum but you can be sure that even at medium settings it'll look as good or better than many new games on the market.

Do you guys not want the option to play it again at even better gfx in a year or two if you happen to upgrade your hardware?

Why should a company dumb down a games gfx just so current hardware can run it on high.

As a pc gamer i would like (hope) to think that we are not to stupid to just slide the bar down to high/medium instead of getting a low framerate at max and complaining.

edit: i know most of the people who posted in this thread aren't complaining, im just ranting because i know hundreds of people will complain like they did with crysis

    • WordArt was cool. We now have color fonts as a substitute although Word only supports COLRv0 and COLRv1 (Fraud OS 11 only). The OpenType SVG color font format needs to be supported by Office. Adobe's apps support it
