I use 1and1.com as my domain name registrar and DNS host. They are cheap, reliable, and I like their interface. As far as cheap web hosting, I can't vouch for their pricing as thats not a service I have shopped around for. I would guess that they are competitive at the very least.

Thanks for the reply.

I looked into 1and1 but was scared off by their advert filled website. This sounds rather cheecky, but is there any chance you could post a screen shot of the DNS managment / control panel (of course with all your details erased out)? I really wish these sites would offer Demo's that you could try out before hand...

I use 3rd party DNS websites to manage my DNS information. EditDNS and EveryDNS are two of them.

As far as hosting goes, after reading about needing to setup an exchange server records, are you needing Windows-based hosting?

As already mentioned you don't have to use your webhost as your dns provider -- couple already mentioned, but there are plenty of dns services out there zoneedit, dyndns.org, .public-servers.com etc. .etc..

Also lots of registrars also offer full service dns, godaddy for example.

    • It saddens me when cars are such dull colours now. Mine is bright metallic blue and I absolutely adore it for standing out in contrast to that depressing backdrop of traffic.

    • Get over it, has nothing to do with my point.
    • I really don't like these rounded corners and huge borders in the viewport. They just waste space without anything in return.
