It was Jamie that ordered the kill

Jamie didn't order the kill or have anything at all to do with the assassination attempt. All he did was push Bran out a window and leave him to his fate. As far as anybody can tell by the end of the fourth book, it was Joffrey who did it.

but why would he give his brother knife ?

Are you sure it was his brother's knife? I happen to know whose knife it was, too, but all I'll do at this point is remind you that Tyrion denied owning the knife or having any involvement.

So, I wanna get into this show ... is it awesome ? I mean does-it have the HBO seal of quality ? Is it here to stay ? Should I watch it now or just pick it up when it's done ?

its here to stay for MANY seasons and yes watch it now!

According to Den of Geek, the former 9th Doctor himself, actor Christopher Eccleston, is rumored to be currently lined up for a role in the second season of HBO's hit drama/fantasy series.

So what role could Chris Eccleston play IF (capital I, capital F) the rumors pan out to be true?

The 47-year old actor could be up for the role of Stannis Baratheon?Robert Baratheon's brother and, according to Lord Eddard Stark, the rightful heir to the Iron Throne and the Seven Kingdoms.

The character of Stannis Baratheon was often heard mentioned during the series' first season but never made an appearance?just as in George R.R. Martin's book A Song of Fire and Ice. Stannis first appeared in the second book: A Clash of Kings.

The other role Eccleston is also likely to be up for could be that of Balon Greyjoy?Theon Greyjoy's father and the Lord of the Iron Islands who will proclaim himself king.

Talking of Doctor Who, also rumored for a role is actor Tony Curran (Underworld: Evolution), who'd given a moving performance as Vincent Van Gogh in last year's Doctor Who episode, "Vincent and the Doctor." No word as to who Curran would play if cast.

Awesome! I have no doubt you will enjoy the books and let me tell you, knowing what happens in no way ruins the show in fact I find it makes it more enjoyable comparing how I envisioned it to the actual show (Y)

I am just in the process of reading book 3 part 2, If you have read past book three then you can understand how unbelievably gob-smacked I was at the fate of a certain character at the Twin Towers :| Did not at all expect that...

Btw I am being intentionally vague in the hopes that I don't spoil it for no one, but you should understand what part I'm talking about I hope
