Except for the simple joy of watching Joffery finally bite it, his death was really unsatisfying. Definitely not worthy of all the awful things he has done up to (and including) the wedding. I was hoping for something more brutal and direct. And the worst part is, they will probably play the mystery card for a while which is just frustrating.

DING DONG, The Bastard's DEAD! I got to give credits to Jack Gleeson though, he really made me hate him as a character (and I hear he's quitting acting after this).

Poor Tyrion though...

Yeah I watched his presentation at Oxford.  I love how he lambaste the hell out of hollywood, extremely well presented; afterwards the Q & A was entirely about Game of Thrones.  I mean come on Oxford!

Who is Sigur Ros? I keep seeing their name come up in articles about last night's episode. Are we supposed to know who they are?

Icelandic post-rock band from Reykjav?k, which has been active since 1994. Known for its ethereal sound, frontman J?nsi Birgisson's falsetto vocals, and the use of bowed guitar, the band's music is also noticeable for its incorporation of classical and minimalist aesthetic elements. The band is named after J?nsi's sister Sigurr?s El?n.

It's becoming sort of a tradition, they did it last year with Coldplay's drummer during Red Wedding and there was someone from Snow Patrol in an earlier episode as well.

 

Nice episode btw, flew by. The buildup during the wedding was tight.

I know, I noticed that too. So far, both episodes felt like they were over in a flash. Neither of them felt like they were an hour long.
