Did not like the scene between Arya and The Hound, seemed out of character. They were building a genuine bonding, she even took care of his wounds in one episode. And suddenly she do that? just like that?

btw, I've heard one of the characters that will surprisingly die is Danaerys. Can anyone confirm if this indeed happens in the books? If her character is down only two will remain from my top 5: Tyrion and John Snow

I hear what you're saying, but she was consistent in keeping him on her "to kill" list.

Actually I somewhat disagree:

1.- We only hear her once including him on her list in his presence and that's because he was mocking her about the list.

2.- We can hear the list another couple of times while they where traveling and she never mentions his name in those two occasions.

3.- If she never took him out her list, then this is still out of character because... well... she does nothing.

And FFS, he was truly trying to protect her. When Brianne asks him if he's guarding her you can see honest concern in his face.

Doesn't happen in the books released so far.

If he wasn't on her kill list then she didn't kill him. Makes sense to me. While their relationship may have started to grow, she still desperately wants to be on her own and go train to be an assassin.

I have no idea if Danaerys will die or not, but sending Jorah away does not bode well for her. My personal twisted plot would be for something to happen with her Dragons where Bran gains control of them (or maybe just the Black Dragon)

Personally I found this season to not be as good as the last 3 seasons. Really needed more dragon and wolf action too :p

Still excited for season 5 though!

Still, the best chapter of all this series was in the fourth season. But I agree, third season did more for character development (Jamie as a likeable character, Tyron as a pillar of the series, Jon Snow as the 'suddenly he is important and interesting', Danaerys as ruthless and Melissandre as 'oh, it's time to get nude'). Fourth was an establishment of such development

I do feel Season 3 was the best so far. I think that Season 4, although still awesome, was the worst season. Season 1, 2 and 3 were the greatest thing I've ever seen on TV, so it's pretty hard to compete.

Dont know, it's hard for me to argue against 4th vs second and first. First is memorable because it was the introduction ?unless the production is horrible first seasons are always good? and because it presented us with a worthy candidate for the second most heartbreaking scene in modern television: Ned Stark's death (Sorry, first place will always be Breaking Bad's 'Ozymandias'. Yes, even over Red Weeding). Second, for me, it was good but not great, the fourth season presented more memorable scenes than second's (Tywin's death by Tyron, The Red Viper's death, The Hound final fight and words, Joeffrey's death ?seriously, name a more cherished character's death :p?, Tyron's speech at his trial, etc.).

As memorable scenes go the 2nd season might as well be resumed as the Valar Morgulis season.

The Red Viper's death was lame. Over-hyped and under delivered. I agree with the rest.

None of them top Ed Stark's death. Although that's the reason they don't top it, that set the precedence. I expect everyone to die now and none of them surprise me. Well, one or two deaths would surprise me, but I'm not going to say who because HBO are sadists and might be reading this.

Actually screw it, I dare you to kill Arya HBO, I triple dog dare you.

I forgot a memorable moment, that it spanned an entire chapter: The Nightwatch's battle!

And yes, they cant top Ned's death, but they should not either. Ned's death is what unraveled everything... well, an argument could be made that Jamie unraveled everything by pushing Brom, but hey, let's go with Ned :p

I don't know, for me Season 1 was the worst season until the episode when Ned Stark lost his head. Up until then it was somewhat boring. Season 4 was my favorite so far, nothing has been better than watching Joffrey choke on his own blood!

It might have been lame, but I was so enthralled I didn't notice.

Season 4 I noticed. So slow, not much happened. The attack on the Night watch was really fricken awesome, but passed that the whole season was "meh", at least compared to the rest. When I go back to Season 1 it almost feels comfy. I like it. Like meeting a bunch of old friends or something lol.

lol, well I respect that. I'm definitely going to start reading the books. I can't go another year without having Game of Thrones in my life.

Dont, I regret it, now I know what will happen :(

From what I have heard the series is going in a slightly different direction. Especially that they're killing more characters on the show than they do in the books.

Still, for the direction they've taken, there's certain character that, no matter what, they'll have to respect the direction it has taken in the book, and it's a big one, iron throne big and believe me, that's not saying much.

I gotta say, you're not really doing a good job of persuading me :shifty: just making me want to read them more!

Somewhat agree. On one hand, he'll probably be bitter about the changes in the show, especially if S4 is any indication, and the 5th book ends with major cliffhangers. On the other hand, the books are superior in almost every way and the 6th one might be out in 6-9 months (one can hope). I'm going to read the whole series again once that is out.

Another argument can be made that everything started when Littlefinger persuaded Lysa Arryn to kill her husband, Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King. That made Robert Baratheon go North and ask Ned to be his replacement.

    • The FIFA World Cup is not US centric.
    • It’s amusing how Microsoft is pushing IT admins as if this was a major, game-changing update. In reality, it’s just an enablement package that bumps the build number, which is disappointing compared to the more substantial 22H2 and 24H2 releases. Technically, 25H2, 26H1, and the upcoming 26H2 are essentially the same, differing only in support schedules. They could have included the Windows K2 improvements here, but chose not to. The era of Windows being in the backburner continues, and this 26H2 release feels like an afterthought. Shame, Nadella, shame.
    • Microsoft, totally not confusing /s 25H2 - Current for non-Arm based Windows 26H1 - Current for Arm based Windows 26H2 - Only for non Arm Windows
    • After I installed those, my older but capable Win 11 laptop (16GB RAM) reported it as 26H2 26300.8697. Then I installed it on my big laptop (128GB RAM! Hehe sorry), it reported it as 25H2 26220.8690. Ugh. Do I have to switch Insiders channels from Release to Beta?
