I think i'm coming to the end

I think i am outside Edenhall. I think i've got a long dungeon crawl still but it is the final run. I know the difficulty spikes on the final section but i'm maxed out, so hopefully it won't annoy me. Although i hear for the final boss you can stagger him and then spam him with death and it usually works. Starting to really like my current party though Lighting, Hope, Fang. They seem to be pretty well rounded with dealing damage and buffing/debuffing. Shame Odin is pants. I don't think i've used an Eidolon other than Odin to give me a breather during a battle.

Does anyone know if you can stack the rare drop accessory? I have two.

This game has a lot of Japanese quirks that irritate me slightly  . Like the constant 'noises' being made by the characters, and the exaggerated motions like nodding with your whole damn neck, or making a fist when they wanna make a stand. ... and oother stuff :shiftyninja:

Gratz on the cid victory! Oddly cid was one of the bosses I had no problems on

I got through Cid by throwing in a Sentinel. Battle took forever but I just wanted it to be done easily.

The many cut scenes that followed with Vanille narrating irritated me very very greatly. Expletives were thrown towards my tv and the skip button was hammered. Got on Pulse in the end though. I'm enjoying it's vastness!

3) The Idea It Gets Good After 25 or So Hours

I've had several people tell me that Final Fantasy XIII gets really good once you get past the first 25-30 hours, that the world opens up with plenty of side quests, that you can actually explore some of the world, that the combat finally gels together. Whether I believe them or not is totally irrelevant, because even if they're right, I think that's worse than if the game sucked all the way through.

What the **** do you mean I have to sit through 25-30 of **** before it gets good? When did this become acceptable? Why can't a game be good from, oh, I don't know, the ****ing beginning? I managed to sit through four hours of Roxas bull**** in Kingdom Hearts II for the promise of the Tron world. I gave up on Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess after two hours because the only thing I had done that was even slightly exciting was herd goats. And now, Square Enix wants me to wait 25-30 ****ing hours before the game gets ****ing decent?! **** AND NO. I don't care if it turns into a straight re-make of Final Fantasy VII at hour 30, that is bull****, and I refuse to play this game on ****ing principle.

Hear ****ing hear ;)

So, i am playing my friends disc 1 and this game is great. The graphics are amazing, i enjoy the combat very much, and the story is not bad. But dear lord i hate Vanille and Hope, they have to be the 2 most annoying characters ever created in a game. Vanille's personality is just so damn fake, her constant moans when she's "thinking" and her extremely high pitched and odd voice angers me. Hope is a little emo kid, i have not found a redeeming quality about him yet. Szah (sp) is my favorite character so far, and best visuals goes to Lightning.

I just got to the part where

the ship they stole crashed, and Snow got captured by the people after beating the eidos

Pretty much same for me, though I have grown to like Hope and Vanille. It makes me laugh how everyone is calling Sazh old when he looks quite young!

It's hardly better on the PS3, IMO.

You can go watch all the comparison videos you want, but it's only noticable if you actually look at stills...

Anyways, how are you lost? Make sure you read the tutorials and watch all the videos, or else you will be lost.

Not the gameplay the story. I feel like I have been thrown into a middle of a movie. More and more is starting to make sense but still a little fuzzy.

I'm tellin you Munky, you and I are the ONLY people that feel this way about this game that posts in this thread. To me, it's just bad design. People think otherwise. It's not like Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and IX where it was BAM BAM BAM (engaging after engaging after engaging).

Honestly I'm at 20 hours and the game really picks up right around here. The combat system isn't my favorite, but I can work with it, and I rarely die at the parts where other people seem to have trouble with (ie the Eidolon fights and Orion). So I say try to stick with it and the game gets better when you reach Polumpolum.

On the other side though, the story and dialog really doesn't get much better than where your at. But I guess that's just JRPG story telling for you. I'm so glad pre-FFX games didn't have voice acting in them, maybe that's why I held them in such high regard.

I've just entered

Orphans Cradle. Hopefully i'll have it finished this weekend. I wonder if the Proudclad is a throw back to proud clod in FFVII.

I don't understand why you people are saying it takes 30 hours for the game to get good. The game opens up a bit around then but the 30 hours till then are brilliant. It starts off slow but when the story starts to pick up and you start learning about each character the game never becomes boring. I am a big Final Fantasy fan and i was worried i wouldn't be able to get into it because of all the changes but i've really enjoyed it and probably have it in my top five Final Fantasy's.

Yes, right at the end of chapter 11.

By end you mean after you defeat the boss, but before you board w/e it is to go to Eden?

I know you can defeat the boss, but stay on Grand Pulse for awhile. If that's the case, then I'll go ahead and get to that point as I already have 300k CP per character saved up and do some more farming in Chp. 11, before continuing the storyline.

    • The memory and nvme can be swapped and upgraded with standard parts. But the GPU cannot, which is the weakest part of the box. It's a dead product at these prices.
    • Sounds like the debloated build you are running is missing some components that the Photos app and Snipping Tool rely on.

    • Apple and Tesla trade secrets reportedly exposed following a Tata Electronics cyberattack by Hamid Ganji Image via Depositphotos.com Tata Electronics has confirmed that it detected a cybersecurity incident in some of its systems. The Indian company is a manufacturing partner of both Apple and Tesla, and the incident may have exposed some trade secrets belonging to the two American companies. The World Leaks ransomware group is said to be behind the attack, and it has reportedly posted up to 200,000 files on the dark web, including component designs and specification documents related to Apple and Tesla products. Tata Electronics told Reuters that its response protocols were deployed immediately and that the “incident has had no impact on our operations across businesses, which remain unaffected.” The ransomware group reportedly sent a ransom demand to Tata Electronics, while Apple has launched an investigation into the incident. World Leaks claims it stole more than 200,000 files totaling over 630GB from Tata Electronics. Some database files on the ransomware group’s website are titled "com.apple.factorydata," which could refer to Apple’s iPhone production operations in India. Moreover, some documents reportedly contain material specifications and quality inspection standards for iPhone circuit board components. However, Apple is not the only affected company. A folder found in the World Leaks database is titled "NV36 Chargeport Controller - North America," which may refer to Tesla Model Y components. Additionally, other files in the database reportedly contain drawings related to Tesla’s Project Highland, the internal codename for the EV maker’s updated Model 3 sedan. To support the authenticity of the stolen files, World Leaks has published documents containing footers that read: "This document contains proprietary and confidential information of Apple Inc." and "information contained herein is deemed confidential, proprietary, and a trade secret of Tesla Inc." Cybersecurity researcher Rajshekhar Rajaharia told Reuters that the database also contains emails, event logs spanning several years, and passport copies of employees, including foreign nationals. Both Tesla and Apple have declined to comment on the scale of the incident.
