+longgonebn Subscriber² Posted March 9, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted March 9, 2010 Was not sure where to post this, so here I go. For awhile now I have been getting the message/error in the attached image. I used Windows Mobile Device Center with my phone, because that is the only option. I am also using Office 2010. The error is related to both of those, I installed Outlook 2010 only to stop this message, i don't use email programs. How do I stop it from saying that each time? I read its because WMDC does not support 2010 yet, is this true? How to I fix this, what are my options? abecedarian paradoxious
The phone, via WMDC, is querying the system's default email program. WMDC is trying to synchronise the phone's contacts, emails, and/or messages with Outlook. You may be able to change the WMDC settings for the sync partnership with the phone and de-select mail, etc. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/881924-wmdc-issue/#findComment-592327912 Share on other sites
+longgonebn Subscriber² Posted March 9, 2010 Author Subscriber² Share Posted March 9, 2010 I have everything in WMDC de-selected. So that isn't the cause. Is there a way I can unisntall WMDC and just have it as a "harddrive", where it just shows up in Explorer. No need for WMDC..? It wants to install it each time I try. *edit wow I just found my solution, there was this option on my phone, to either use it as a modem, use WMDC or use it as a Disk Drive. Once I chose Drive, it does not ask anymore...how did I not find that before :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/881924-wmdc-issue/#findComment-592327938 Share on other sites
