the most fun ive had in the game so far is taking some one else's medic kit(im assault) and running around contested comm-points defibbing ONLY. so much better than shooting people. tried to do it for the last few days i might get 5-10 in a couple of mins but i end running back and forth and just getting sniped from some camper....still fun though. this is also killing my k/d but hey t's ****ing fun . Havent got a defib kill yet though. once i get platinum on xmp ill go through the medic class.

Got my platinum star for my XM8 assault today. Woot. That's M16, M416, and XM8 all with platinum stars...next is the AN-94 or AUG I think. I haven't decided yet.

I also saw my first player that was rank 41 today, but I didn't get to knife him. I don't think he stuck around for very long.

Question for you guys. how do you set the new weapons you unlocked as default? I hate having to change to the ones I like every time I join a new game or open the game again.
You can't. Just one of many broken things in this game that will probably never be fixed.
9 gold stars. The 10th star is platinum, which is a 1000 kills.
Does that apply to ever gun though? I have reached gold stars on some guns much quicker, and the rate I kill baddies at hasn't changed.

That's the one thing that drives me insane about the game.

I know it may not be a big deal for some, but I constantly forget to set some of my extra perks for the vehicles or weapon enhancements.

All the guns should be the same. Sniper rifles may be different (i don't snipe) but I believe they are the same. Grenades, knifes, 40mm nades, smoke, shotgun (attachment to assault guns), vehicles, and explosives stars are set at lower kills.

That's the one thing that drives me insane about the game.

Mine always stay the same. Whatever I set it to it stays to that unless I change it.

9 gold stars and then you get a platinum. However I'm not entirely sure it's exactly 1000 kills for a platinum. I got my platinum star on my m16 around 950 kills. My XM8 AR currently has 978 kills. Maybe assist kills count towards weapon kills? That would make sense I guess.

And about the shotgun attachment for assault, I think it's currently bugged and is acting like a primary weapon so it needs the full 1000 or however many kills. I haven't tested that but I have no reason to believe it's not true.

@techstar - i dont think you can.

One word: lame.

Whoever skipped out on that idea is stupid. I forget to change the weapons sometimes and it makes me mad a little.

following my earlier post. i went on medic class for an hour. simply put, easiest ****ing class eva! i now realise why there are about 2/3 medic class using m60 spamming on every server.
Can't wait to see what is going to happen to the M60 noobs once it gets nerfed. Those know how to use it, will continue to use it. But those who use it for pray and spray & easy kills will whine like no tomorrow. It's going to be hilarious!

Weapons should all be 1000 kills. Items would be 500 and vehicle is 500 also. Unless you got proof platnium unlocking at 950 kills, I'm saying it's 1000. The guns in the "All Kits" category are 500 also.

I'm thinking of picking this up..do I need to play the 1st one before I play this one?

Nah. The game pretty much doesn't carry on from the previous story. I don't think that there are many, if any, moments where the story from the first games is referenced. I got the the Limited Edition version of this game at release and it's actually really addictive. I've maxed out the Engineer class only. To be honest I was extremely disappointed with the final Engineer unlock, the UMP .45. It's a better version of the 9A-91 Avtomat you get at the start of the game, but it has terrible ironsights in comparison, and its a worse version of the SCAR-L Carbine. I was amazed to discover that, actually. I was expecting a really good gun as a reward for completing that class. But alas, it was not to be.

Also, is the Medic's M60 being nerfed? I never thought it was overpowered, apart from when it was teamed with Magnum Ammo. Then it became unstoppable. Maybe this is good news. In other news: I stole a Medic's MG3 and was incredibly disappointed with it. I figured it'd be good - it's a newer version of the German MG42 - but no. It takes way too many shots to kill, and you only have 100 rounds in a belt. Some of the LMGs have double that, and they aren't even the final unlocks. But maybe the final unlock for each class genuinely is just terrible:

Assault: M16A2

Engineer: SCAR-L Carbine

Medic: MG3

Recon: M95

Well, at least two of those unlocks aren't great for being the last things you get. I'm Rank 13 or 14 in the game I think and I play Rush in Softcore mode normally. I find it to be a lot of fun.

I am still painfully plodding along with unlocking everything in the Recon class. I've just unlocked the GOL (or whatever it is called). I find myself playing with my pistol more often than sniping (which is really boring).

Dude, in my opinion the XM8 Compact + Magnum Ammo + x4 sights is the best selection Engineer wise. Nothing else comes close!

Hopefully, yes. But no idea when.

Proof... it's not 950 exactly but it's not 1000 either... I'm not entirely sure why you would think I would lie about this.

    • First time clicking on a Sayan Sen article after he started making clickbait, vague headlines recently. Didn't read, just came here to say the headline doesn't look like very cheap, vague clickbait this time. Are you okay?
    • Good review, and yeah the benchmark breakdown is pretty clear but also a little messy in a good way. It’s kinda interesting to see where the RX 9070 GRE slides in between the 7800 XT and the 9070 XT , especially when it comes to AI tasks and Blender style workloads. The side by side with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and 4070 makes it feel obvious just how competitive the mid range GPU scene has gotten lately, and that’s great for creators and gamers too since you can pick based on your priorities rather than only chasing one single thing.
    • That's it. I finally uninstalled Firefox because they often keep pushing buggy updates, only to test them later and make users suffer. No longer is it my alternative browser to Edge. What a waste of energy. Firefox is bad for the environment, just like Chrome (wasting RAM/energy).

Microsoft has not confirmed those yet, but it acknowledged other issues with its operating system. What Microsoft has confirmed is a bug where Recycle Bin delete prompts display internal file names instead of actual ones, and a year-old Windows JScript compatibility bug caused by security-focused engine changes.
