I find that I'm losing interest in playing after I unlock all the weapons, etc on all classes.. I hope there's something coming that keep me excited and having fun :)

What ever happened to just playing games because you enjoy them? Silly metagames. :(

I do find myself getting a little bored sometimes, but I have got loads of awards to achieve and stuff, so I am slowly working my way through them. Besides, the law is, if someone gets your tags, you have to get them back. Even if that means you spend the rest of the match running with your knife out dying a million times.

Besides, I love seeing M60 medics rage quit after I run circles around with them with my new found love. The PP (Y)

If anyone wants the Veteran unlock for free, just sign up to Battlefield Heroes. And then force a refresh on your Veteran status, the next time you log in. The M1 should be unlocked - have fun ;)

like why is it so hard to remember a default gun selection? choosing every time you hit up a server is annoying

Well the biggest reason this does not work is different servers have different settings.

With that said why not allow us a default configuration, and if it does not work pop up a quick message "This server disables certain aspects for your default kit. Remember to choose again." or something like that, seems pretty easy to me.

Am not getting bored but am getting quite annoyed with medic swarms :/

My tube always cures the medic swarms ;) No one cries louder about the tube then a squad full of medics. Once I see them swarming I pull it out.

Got my first gold tags (image below) :D

Actually got them twice, and I love to tease him about it on Vent. His new nickname is goldie :rofl:

What do the different tags represent? I have many silver tags, no gold though.

Funny enough, at least most other shooters still has the random aspect because players know how to vary things - In this game EVERYTHING is clockwork predictable.

Also because of the size, when players try a new position - Another player will just take their position. In other shooters, it's on a much, much smaller scale thus there isn't enough

players to occupy the 'standard' positions every time. Not to mention, despite having large maps, there aren't many tactical 'decent' positions and the primary ones will just get filled up

every single round. So in the end, you can ALWAYS count on players being on certain positions in every map plus you get so many kills because of it, in the end it's just not fun getting kills anymore

and that's pretty bad in a FPS.

So no, this is not like every other shooter - This is actually the most predictable shooter I've played in years.

And the above is not the only problem with the game, there's so many little niggles I won't go in-depth with because I can't be arsed discussing it on here

but suffice to say, I'm done with the game :)

I guess I am seeing things way different. I love to snipe, in every other game there are only so many sniper locations that are effective. In this game I can make my own wherever and whenever I want. The destructible environment allows me to blow holes anywhere and snipe from them. No two games are ever the same for me, the replay factor is awesome.

Nothing really. I think it breaks down like this:

  1. Level 0 ---> 20 = Bronze
  2. Level 21 ---> 40 = Silver
  3. Level 41 ---> 50 = Gold

Just goes to show even "elite" players get owned once in a while ;)

I have been working on getting all my pins/insignia's unlocked. Gives you something to do while playing.

They show different Ranks. The higher the rank of the person the tags change. Bronze - Silver - Gold

by the end everyone would have alot of gold tags. Since everyone would be at the highest level and etc.

Don't quite understand what you are saying?

If it was referring to my Gold tags comment, then its true, it goes by the rank of the player you knifed.

I don't see how the M60 is powerful. I am using it right now and I don't feel any difference from the original medic weapon. I kill the same amount of people with both.

Yes I know the M60 is supposed to be better, but I don't feel the difference.

M60 is way OP. Especially with Magnum Ammo, which you haven't unlocked it. I think you unlock Magnum Ammo at Rank 15. Once you get Magnum Ammo, M60 and x4 Optical Sight. The thing is practically a death machine. Point, click, boom.

Have you tried using it at long range with the ACOG? That's the difference. That it can almost literally be used as a sniper rifle..and better than most of the recon ones as well. And you don't have magnum ammo perk as well? Using that you'll really see a difference. You'll do 25% more damage with it. Ontop of that it has little to no recoil.

Singh beat me to it. :laugh:

So get to level 15, get the Magnum Ammo and 4x sight and pwn?

Basically. Once I got my platinum star for the M60, I stopped using it. I now only break it out to punish noobs who think they are awesome with the M60.

Seriously, there a much better guns out there...

  • XM8 Prototype
  • Stg.77 AUG
  • AN-94 Abakan
  • SCAR-L Carbine
  • XM8 Compact
  • AKS-74U Krinkov
  • PP-2000 Avtomat
  • M249 Saw
  • XM8 LMG

...just to name a few. The highlighted one is my current favourite/preferred weapon.

I personally dislike all the LMG's. That's the only group of weapons I haven't attained my 500 kills badge for yet. I prefer assault rifles and sniper rifles.

The fact that medics get weapons that they can literally just spray and pray with and not have to worry about running out of ammo before an assault guy is kind of really backwards to me.

I hear you. The Medic gun selection is way OP for a Medic role. I tend to play with the XM8 LMG on the rare occasion when I do play Medic.

And sniper rifles are gay and boring. Complete snooze fest. When I do play Recon, I tend to play with the WWII pistol and just run around with that. Sniper rifle selected is usually the GOL.

    • You're absolutely right! No reason in hell these should be on the road!
    • They aren't going to want to. Most would just go with the 17 Pro and save money. Why would they want to spend $300 for basically the same thing? It's not worth it if there are hardly any changes from year to year.
    • 24H2 rolled out to the Release Preview Channel in early June 2024, so this coming a bit later in the Experimental Channel (formerly Dev) doesn't really say much more than earlier H2 releases that came out in October. I am not sure what the thinking is here by putting it in Experimental, one would think that the 26H2 stamp means features are locked down and it's now bug tested until October? I don't even pretend to understand Microsoft's strategy for Windows Insider Program though
