maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, played for an hour on recon...up to the m95....yawnnnn BUT i did have an awesome 2 rounds. Shot down a copter for the first time then shot the mini-gunner who parachuted down..... then on second map got a triple knife, where literally three guys were stacked next to each other...so snuck behind em( 2 bronze, one silver) ....also gol is pretty good to no scope at close range....:p

I had a game like that a couple of days ago, conquest panama map, roof top at C point, knifed a pair of recons on my way up the stairs, when I got to the roof there were 4 more recons who were spread out with their backs to me, I knifed them all lol

Finally got some more Platinum Stars - the XM8 Compact and PP (Y) Got 3 altogether, the other being the M60. Which has now been banned on my favourite server. And everyone loves that rule (Y)

Technically though no server can ban any guns use. They better be careful because if someone wants to be a jackass they can report the server to EA. And if it happens enough times..

That's only if it's a ranked server though. Which most are.

how the hell do you ban a gun :/ Just kick people who use it. I'd to ban the tanks on my server (our server mainly plays Squad Team Deathmatch) but i don't think the other admins will allow it haha

I tried the M60 with the special ammo you guys said and the 4x zoom and it sucked. Way too much recoil for me.
You are doing it wrong. Try burst fire ;)

When you join the server, you get a welcome message as well as a message saying the use of the M60 is prohibted. Anyone caught using the M60 will be issued a warning, continued usage results in kick/ban. Been on it for most of the day, and it works perfect. In fact I would say all the players appreciated it.

Anybody else getting terrible performance lately? I haven't played 2 weeks and now the game just feels GFX laggy

The only change I made was to update to the Catalyst 10.4 Beta BC2 loading hotfix driver...

CPU: Phenom I x4 9850 BE @ 2.5ghz

RAM: 3GB 800mhz DDR2

GFX: XFX Radeon HD5770 1GB GDDR5

OS: Win7 32bit

Settings all high @ 1920x1080, 1x AA 1x AF HBBAO = off V-Sync = off

Used to run buttersmooth before....

Regardless, if someone wants to cause a stink they can. But there are other servers so it shouldn't even be a problem for anyone. Just letting you know that if someone wants to cause trouble they can.

I don't use the m60, or even play medic anyways.

Lol ulot are so bad at the game. I got all those fancy badges when I rented the game for 5days from LoveFilm.

How can you be level 21 and just get the Nemesis Badge...

We can't all be pro like you. Teach us how to be good please.

yeah right, i still dont got nemesis badge yet and im rank 24, not to be fancy but i can play fps game pretty well.

I downloaded the game off of Steam yesterday.

Needless to say, it has been a while since I've played a shooter like this on the computer (Team Fortress 2 is my other MP game on the comp). My KD ratio is about 0.8 at this point, I'm hoping I can get it above 1 once I get the hang of the game. I love it so far, though. :)

I don't even worry about KD ratio anymore... on any game. I just go into it having fun.

First, I'm getting older so my twitch skills can't really compete with the 18 year old.

Secondly, sometimes suicide is fun. In TF2, I go by Kamikaze Pyro. Guess which class

I play. :)

So Burst fire with 4x or what?

I won't be using the combo forever, I just want to test it. I have used the M60 by itself with no-addons and I pwn with it anyways.

I think there's issues with the current R9 server files, Punkbuster, and the Play Now! button not populating servers like it should. The few games I've been in this week the servers has been really full.

I'm kind of taking a break from the game until the patch that comes out hopefully next week though. I really hope this isn't true but I heard (no sources) that the M16 and AN-94 are going to be nerfed along with the M60 and M1911. There's absolutely no reason for that if it's true. On the other hand, on one of the dev's twitters I read that all assault rifles will have their damage drop off range extended. Be interesting to see what the patch does this next week.

Are less and less people playing this game these days? I joined multiple matches yesterday, and many times there was only like 2-4 people total playing on the map. Every map was like ghost town.

There's been a problem with the xbla servers with matchmaking. Dice hasn't updated us on this yet

Yeah x4, Magnum Ammo styled with burst fire. Obviously you need to do some work, like aim for the head. Hell even in CQC you don't need to go scope. Just spray, 100 clip of ammo lasts for ages mate.

R9 caused some major problems. Like random lagging and rubberbanding. But past few days, all my regular servers have been packed!

I'm having no issues finding games.

I'm having issues finding games without a lot of flamewh0res and noob tube spammers though. I can appreciate using 40mm grenades for clearing buildings but when you're in tight spaces and someone pops a 40mm at you

What's your gamertag/EA ID then?

    • A 13 billion year old secret about our Universe's origin was revealed by Sayan Sen Image by Pascal Küffer via Pexels Researchers at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik (MPIK) in Heidelberg had recreated a key chemical reaction from the early universe, producing results that could change scientists' understanding of how the first stars formed. The study focused on the helium hydride ion (HeH⁺), which is widely regarded as the first molecule to form in the universe. Scientists believe HeH⁺ appeared around 380,000 years after the Big Bang, when the universe had cooled enough for electrons and atomic nuclei to combine into neutral atoms in a period known as recombination. This marked the beginning of chemistry in the cosmos. Immediately after the Big Bang about 13.8 billion years ago, the universe was extremely hot and dense. As it expanded and cooled, hydrogen and helium became the dominant elements. Once neutral helium atoms formed, they could react with ionised hydrogen nuclei, or protons, to create helium hydride ions. Although simple in structure, HeH⁺ played an important role in the young universe. It was the first step in a chain of reactions that eventually produced molecular hydrogen (H₂), a molecule made up of two hydrogen atoms and now the most abundant molecule in the universe. Molecular hydrogen later became a key ingredient in the formation of the first stars. At the time, the universe had entered a phase often called the cosmological "dark age." Matter had become transparent to light following recombination, but there were still no stars or galaxies producing visible light. Several hundred million years would pass before the first stars appeared. For those first stars to form, large clouds of gas had to collapse under their own gravity. To do that, the gas needed to cool by releasing energy. While hydrogen atoms can help with this process at high temperatures, they become less effective below about 10,000 degrees Celsius. Molecules can continue the cooling process by releasing energy through rotational and vibrational motions. Scientists have long considered HeH⁺ a potentially important coolant because of its comparatively large dipole moment, a property that describes how electric charge is distributed within a molecule and allows it to release energy efficiently. The amount of helium hydride present in the early universe may therefore have influenced how easily the first stars could form. At the same time, HeH⁺ was constantly being destroyed. Under primordial conditions, its main destruction mechanisms were recombination with free electrons and chemical reactions with hydrogen atoms. These reactions ultimately helped produce molecular hydrogen, linking the formation and destruction of HeH⁺ to the chemistry that shaped the early universe. For many years, theoretical studies suggested that reactions between HeH⁺ and hydrogen atoms would become much slower at low temperatures. Scientists believed there was an energy barrier along the reaction pathway that reduced the chances of the reaction taking place in the cold conditions of the early universe. The new study suggests otherwise. To investigate the process, researchers recreated a closely related reaction using deuterium, a naturally occurring isotope of hydrogen that contains one proton and one neutron in its nucleus. When HeH⁺ collides with deuterium, it forms an HD⁺ ion and a neutral helium atom. This allows scientists to study the reaction in a controlled way while closely mimicking the behaviour of the original reaction involving hydrogen. The experiments were carried out at the Cryogenic Storage Ring (CSR) at MPIK, a specialised facility designed to recreate conditions similar to those found in space. Researchers stored HeH⁺ ions in the 35-metre storage ring for up to 60 seconds at temperatures just a few kelvins above absolute zero and merged them with a beam of neutral deuterium atoms. By adjusting the speeds of the two particle beams, the team measured how the reaction rate changed with collision energy, which is directly related to temperature. The researchers found that the reaction rate remains almost constant as temperatures decrease. In other words, the reaction does not slow down at low temperatures as earlier models predicted. “Previous theories predicted a significant decrease in the reaction probability at low temperatures, but we were unable to verify this in either the experiment or new theoretical calculations by our colleagues,” explained Dr Holger Kreckel of MPIK. “The reactions of HeH⁺ with neutral hydrogen and deuterium therefore appear to have been far more important for chemistry in the early universe than previously assumed,” he continued. According to the researchers, the reaction appears to be barrierless, meaning there is no energy obstacle preventing it from taking place efficiently even at very low temperatures. The findings support recent theoretical work led by physicist Yohann Scribano, whose group identified an error in a widely used potential energy surface, a mathematical model used to describe how the energy of a system changes during a chemical reaction. The error appears to have caused previous studies to significantly underestimate reaction rates under primordial conditions. The new calculations closely match the experimental results. Together, they suggest that helium chemistry in the early universe may need to be re-evaluated. Because molecules such as HeH⁺ and molecular hydrogen played an important role in cooling primordial gas clouds, the findings could help scientists build more accurate models of how the first stars formed. By showing that helium hydride was likely destroyed more efficiently than previously thought, the study offers new insight into the chemical processes that shaped the universe during its earliest stages and helped set the conditions for the emergence of the first stars. • "What an interesting smell you've discovered"
    • It could EASILY be 70 for the base game BUT + lots of FOMO to make it up to 100-120, like a few days Early Access, online money, pre-order bonus cars, weapons, missions, clothing, avatars or profile stuff, etc... And still WAY TOO MANY people would buy those and make Rockstar insane money.
