Not you too

I guess I just never came across the same person enough times!

I'm having problems getting a payback pin, only 1 so far I have a bunch of nemesis though.

I'm still enjoying the game but tubers dont really **** me off nearly as much as Gustav's or M60 noobs. I'll be operating a vehicle and I will have like 3-4 engys around me and they are too busy trying to danger close a friken Gustav instead of reparing me. People like that need to go back to MW2 and diaf.

I got Nemsis 67 times, and payback 27 times (Y) :p

Yeah but I stopped playing ages ago, so I could easily have caught up if the game wasn't such a snoozer, harh! :p

0 Paypack Pins, meaning I'm so awesome that I never had a Nemesis - Bwahaha

More things that bother me:

1. Using a heli simply to fly to the other base to steal a tank. So much fail.

2. Assaults not leaving ammo near recently taken flag - it's EASY points, you chariot-driven megamongs

3. M60 is annoying especially when they sit at the edge of a flag and spray'n'pray - sitting on a medikit makes them doubly hard to kill

4. Engineers not realising the value of AT mining the nearest flag to the basecamp  or the runway leading to your basecamp. And when i do, the retard in our tank shoots them up because he's an idiot.

5. People driving off on the buggies without waiting for backup

6. People not destroying all hiding spots/sniper spots around the closest flag. Perfect example are the huts around the A flag in Panama Canal. Shoot the huts to pieces with the APC/tank while waiting for the flag to be captured.

I'm kind of taking a break from the game until the patch that comes out hopefully next week though. I really hope this isn't true but I heard (no sources) that the M16 and AN-94 are going to be nerfed along with the M60 and M1911. There's absolutely no reason for that if it's true. On the other hand, on one of the dev's twitters I read that all assault rifles will have their damage drop off range extended. Be interesting to see what the patch does this next week.

AN-94? Seriously? I hope that's not true, because yeah, it seems quite unnecessary to me. Then again, I love that gun to bits, so maybe it's hard for me to be objective :).

As for having difficulty finding servers, I have noticed that it's a little difficult for me to find games that are based in North America, but the awful server browser is mostly to blame for that. I still have a ping column that doesn't work and a favourites list that doesn't work. So I basically have to resort to guessing where the server is located based on its name. I have ended up in servers that were almost empty despite showing up as 27/32 in the browser, but perhaps that's a server problem.

You know what disappointed me most of all? The fact you can't put scopes or anything on general class weapons like the M14.

Well, that and the fact the scopes take up 89% of screen space when they are attached to a gun.

Oh and the red dot scope has a red dot the size of the one on Mars.

Yeah, that too - They really need to tweak the weapon positions a bit, that's for sure.

You know what I'd like to see?

Custom gun positions.

Let me choose to carry the gun lower so I can see more of the screen and "shoot from hip" more accurately but penalise me by making me slower to get to "aim".

Let me carry the gun higher so it blocks my view and "shoot from hip" less accurately but it makes me quicker to get to "aim".

Let me choose whether I'm left or right handed too.

That's the reason why I love playing ArmA II with my TrackIR, you genuinely feel like you are there and the weapon feels so 'real' I can lean a bit forward when aiming and I'll

get a massive scope or I can just lean back and I'll get further away, can even look left and right while aiming, running etc. Didn't mean to make an advertising line for the game or the TrackIR

but when you use a product that is so superior to everything else, you easily get annoyed and disappointed by those things.

I just feel most developers put little focus on the actual gunplay, weapon positioning, movement and allowing players to customize positions would be sweet - Some prefer the weapon all up in

your face when aiming while others want a bigger FOW while in aimed mode for an example.

When you join the server, you get a welcome message as well as a message saying the use of the M60 is prohibted. Anyone caught using the M60 will be issued a warning, continued usage results in kick/ban. Been on it for most of the day, and it works perfect. In fact I would say all the players appreciated it.

This is what I think ruined BF2. At first it starts with a simple weapon but before you know the admins are banning anything that beats them pretty soon you are fighting exactly how they want you to fight or you are perm ban.

Happens with a lot of games where the server admins are allowed to restrict weapons, then they start banning and restricting anything they can't beat, annoys them or they suck at using - It's so pathetic.

A reason why user options should be kept to a minimum and some default settings pulled over their head.

No, it isn't like that all. These aren't noob server admins. The M60 will be the only weapon that is forbidden.

Exactly. +10 on that one.

For now. This is what started in BF2, I used to play an awesome server. They started by banning the noob tube, ok works for me. Then they started banning everything that they didn't like. To the point the game was not even playable. I was perm banned for knifing the commander, that was a "rule" no knifing commanders. When BC2 was announced and the details about the servers was announced I am sure I was one of only a handful that looked forward to the restrictions to admins.

Trust me, these guys won't be doing anything like that. Been playing on their server since my ET:QW days. Anything goes, just no M60. Simples (Y)

1. Using a heli simply to fly to the other base to steal a tank. So much fail.

2. Assaults not leaving ammo near recently taken flag - it's EASY points, you chariot-driven megamongs

1. Hahaha, I didn't realize that people actually did that. Isn't that kind of like trading a steak dinner for a McDonald's Happy Meal? I can't fly the chopper to save my life, but I've seen some good chopper pilots just completely dominate on Atacama.

2. I try to do it as much as I can, but sometimes I just forget. I only play Assault, so sometimes I forget that there are classes out there that run out of ammo  .

Exactly. +10 on that one.

    • Weekend PC Game Deals: Cyberpunk 2077, Split Fiction, Sonic Racing, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets. The Epic Games store brought along two games from wildly different genres this week for PC gamers to claim. Robobeat is a rhythm-based action game that lets you become a bounty hunter that can wall run, slide, and bunny hop around his opponents. All you have to do is stick to the beat for the built-in or custom songs. Next, Citizen Sleeper is a sci-fi RPG adventure taking place in a ruined space station. It uses tabletop RPG-inspired elements like dice rolls and timers to change up how players approach its activities, factions, and storylines. The Citizen Sleeper and Robobeat giveaways end on June 25. On the same day, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 and Voidwrought will become the next freebies. The bundle space expanded with two more collections from Humble this week too. The June 2unes bundle is up first, carrying plenty of rhythm games. This carries Kill the Music and Rhythm Witch in the $5 starting tier, followed by Trombone Champ, Spin Rhythm XD, and Thumper in the $7 tier. Paying at least $12 gets you the complete bundle, which adds on Kalpa: Cosmic Symphony, Everhood 2, NOISZ, and Sixtar Gate: StarTrail. The next bundle is for virtual reality fans. This carries Among Us 3D: VR and Zero Caliber VR for $10. The next tier brings in Tactical Assault VR, Ancient Dungeon, and Arizona Sunshine Remake for $15. VTOL VR, Zero Caliber 2 Remastered, Metro Awakening, and Thief VR land to finish things off for $18. Free Events It's a big week for free event fans, as Valve kicked off another one of its Next Fest events. This one carries thousands of gameplay slices from upcoming indie games The promotion is set to run until June 22. Standard free events are also ongoing this weekend. This includes the sci-fi grand strategy experience Stellaris from Paradox and the hit SEGA management game Two Point Museum.
