No patch this week, it failed QA again apparently. How fail is their coding and whatever else that it's not passed how many times in a row now? 8? 9? They said it will be out next Monday depending on if it will pass Steams QA or not.

There will be no PC patch this week, Kalms is on the case. This pushes our release to Monday next week as long as all goes well with QA/Steam

"Xbox 360 owners will be able to pick up Onslaught mode in the very near future and we are also still investigating the possibility of Onslaught coming to PC."

PS3 owners already got Onslaught today, 360 have to wait for an unknown amount of time. Screw DICE and all their BS.

Wow, great, just great! I have the rest of this week off but of course the patch won't be released. I'm a patient person but this is a joke...

To make this post less whiney, lets discuss the awesomeness that is pp2000 with magnum and extra ammo. I love this combo.

People are blaming Steam because of DICE's inability to make a patch that works.

and DICE is loving everything second of that...

Well, it obviously tripped something in Steam QA, so yeah I guess the blame is 90/10 (10 being Steam).

that's BS, they are what? 2 months over due now? and in that time they couldn't get it t pass Steam's QA?

But it's ok that Activision has given everything to the 360 first?

Just checking since you never mentioned anything like that in the MW2 thread.

I didn't defend or condone it because I don't have MW2 on my PS3. If I had MW2 on my PS3 and I was delayed content by a month like the 360, I too would be ****ing and moaning about it.

So apparently to fix the lag (that's been plaguing the 360), if you switch your EA.com profile country to UK you'll play on UK servers, which are lag free, even when playing from US.

So it seems only the US servers are ****ed up. As that last few games I've played have been lag-free and once I switched back to USA as country it was laggy.

Anyone noticing worse performance with the Catalyst 10.6 drivers? I'm not talking about the CrossFire issue that's affecting people with HD 5000 video cards. I have an HD 4870 and I swear I'm getting noticeably worse performance than before (Catalyst 10.5). The game stutters and my FPS is nearly halved in the first 30 seconds of joining a server. After that, my FPS goes up and down like the beating of a healthy heart.

Also does this use a separate friends list to Steam? If so I'll probably be Chasethebase when I get my copy on Saturday.

Yes. As far as I'm aware, the only games that use Steam's friends list are games that use Steamworks.

i can't wait until this patch anymore!!! im even play this crappy version cause i miss the game that much...

squad deatmatch owns if you are on a good squad that works together.

and and i know this is no big, finally hit lvl 20. I got to lvl 18 in good time, but then i stopped playing for almost 2 months.

Just did a short single round of Onslaught, waiting on some friends to get home and download. It's looks like it's going to be awesome. I'll see how it goes with a squad, but I'm thinking it's going to be fun.

It's fun. Only challenge is on Hardcore mode and even then, with a decent squad you shouldn't have any trouble with it. But nice change to the normal BC2 combat.

Anyone know what the Multiplayer Update 2 did/changed, other than allow you to play Onslaught?

Played all 4 maps in Onslaught last night and got 4 out of 8 acheevos. It's indeed fun, and I am glad they added it. However, I don't think it's $10 worth IMO. Probably really worth $7 at most. Once you play through them, which is relatively quick on normal mode (best time so far for one map taking down 3 flags is 4 minutes), it will be pretty repetitive after awhile. No doubt hardcore mode will make it take longer and add additional need for some skills and working together. We were able to do 2 people on the desert map, and took our time and did it on normal in 20 minutes. We were scoping out the map and trying different options.

Drop in and drop out is awesome.

    • Zed 1.7.2 has landed with updated OpenCode models, bug fixes and other improvements by David Uzondu Zed 1.7.2 recently landed on the stable release channel, bringing a host of AI-related features including automatic context compaction and settings-based skill management, along with other things like better Markdown preview rendering and custom git commands in the graph view. Starting with the AI stuff, the developers introduced "/compact", a command that basically summarizes your conversation history on demand. This tool prevents your active chat window from hitting token limits by compressing older parts of the dialogue into a brief overview. In addition to that, the team relocated skill management to the settings UI, improving how the application communicates errors regarding those skills, and updated the OpenCode model roster to support DeepSeek V4 Flash, MiniMax M3, Qwen 3.7 Plus, and Nemotron 3 Ultra Free. External agent users can also monitor context window cost metrics and delete individual sessions directly from their history. Right-clicking ref labels in the git graph now opens a context menu that runs different actions against selected targets, kind of how VS Code does it. Here are some of the bug fixes this new release brings: The active agent fails to auto-select when creating a new git worktree. A scrollbar unexpectedly appears on wrapped code blocks in the agent chat. Collapse indicators for project headers appear when performing sidebar searches. Bracketed ellipsis title prefixes fail to show the ellipsis icon properly. Project icons render incorrectly in the recent projects picker. Diff hunk controls appear inside non-editable commit view multibuffers. The software update button hangs indefinitely on the downloading stage. Restoring an agent terminal in a remote project triggers a sudden crash. Splitting a pane that contains an active commit view causes a crash. Linux Wayland freezes when trying to read the clipboard from laggy external apps. Zed is a "newish" code editor trying to break the massive stronghold VS Code has on the developer community. Funny enough, the editor was created by former GitHub employees who worked on the Atom text editor (which Microsoft killed in 2022, several years after it bought GitHub). The project officially hit version 1.0 back in April, introducing platform parity for Windows and Linux alongside deep support for DeepSeek-V4-Pro.
    • 26H2 absolutely will support ARM Windows just not on devices that came with 26H1. This is evident by the fact I am running 26H2, which on my MacBook Neo and Surface Pro 12 (inch), within a VM.

    • The FIFA World Cup is not US centric.
    • It’s amusing how Microsoft is pushing IT admins as if this was a major, game-changing update. In reality, it’s just an enablement package that bumps the build number, which is disappointing compared to the more substantial 22H2 and 24H2 releases. Technically, 25H2, 26H1, and the upcoming 26H2 are essentially the same, differing only in support schedules. They could have included the Windows K2 improvements here, but chose not to. The era of Windows being in the backburner continues, and this 26H2 release feels like an afterthought. Shame, Nadella, shame.
