Wow... Just played about 20 minutes and I'm already disliking it. It's like a watered down, worse version of Bad Company 2. I know it's unfinished, but from what I've played I don't think any amount of work can save this. There isn't really anything redeeming about it, absolutely no reason to choose this over Bad Company 2 on any occasion.

I felt exactly the same way when I played the beta. I uninstalled it afterwards and went back to playing BC2. :D

I had my first "annoying" game yesterday. I'd spawn on one of my squadmates to die near-instantly from a mortar strike. I spawn again on a different squad mate and get knifed (albeit accidentally). Again, I die by getting run over. It's as if I was rolling a die with different ways to die on it instead of numbers.

lmao, very well way of putting it.

I just think it said "KILL ME" all over you. You were a big KM texture to them hahaha

If you run into some dick head named Marty123, please grab his tags for me. He killed me 4 times during a conquest match with a CG and proceeded to claim he "owned". Of course the next map was one of my favourite conquest maps - White Pass. And I taught him a lesson shall I say  Remained strangely quiet for the rest of the matches as well, no idea why... :D

Seems like me and you have the same kind of luck.

A trend I've been noticing is that I consistently have the most deaths out of pretty much anyone in any given game. I don't know if it's just because I go after objectives more than most people or I'm just really unlucky or what. But I still manage to usually get in the top 3-4 scoring wise and kills. I think I just have really bad luck.

It definitely felt like it.

Yesterday I was finally called a hacker (twice in one round!). It felt so awesome :D Seems that people don't like being sniped with shotguns.

Now if only I could get that stupid roadkill pin...

I never really tried to get the road kill pin. And to be honest, I didn't even notice it. I'm surprised you haven't earned it yet (because of you're high level).

Perhaps. My current K/D ratio has been steadily dropping from 1.33 (now 1.31). I've been trying to get the various stars for my weapons (mostly bronze/silver). What usually brings my K/D ratio down is the shotguns. You have to be up close and personal to do any real damage with them. And it's super annoying when you sneak up on 3-4 people, fire your shotgun, and only manage to kill 1-2.

Because he is a CG ###### ;)

Strange, using shotguns drive my KDR up. I got all my bronzes stars a while back. Slowly want to get them all up to at least 1 gold star.

Well, I rarely use light vehicles and when I do, only for transport. I actually managed to get 2 roadkills in one round but it was absolutely impossible to get the 3rd. Had so much rage afterwards...

edit

Damn you Singh! :p

So, far, I'm digging the Engineer class the best. The default weapon suits my needs pretty well. In terms of the game types, deathmatch sucks compared to MW2, but Rush and Conquest are awesome. I just wish people would talk. I haven't heard anyone speak yet in two days of playing.

Yeah, that was a HUGE issue on the 360 when I was playing it (and in all fairness PC version as well). Big problem is almost everyone is in private parties it seems, so no one is using the game chat (on PC people using Ventrillo). So I admit, just used to do the same thing and do a private party with my friends, but I would tell everyone let's check out the game chat so we can communicate with the entire team, and literally not one time did we hear other people when we tried that. Was really disappointing.

I checked out the PC version the other day for the first time in a very long time, just did a quick join so wound up in a Rush game, and man, nothing has changed at all. Just a total sniping fest. Back to only conquest for me.

You must have been unlucky with your team. Most games that I play the opposing team always ends up 50/50 medics and engineers. If I'm not getting CG'd in the back I'm getting killed by a medic with their endless barrage of bullets.

I now noticed that more and more servers limit number of recon and engineers (with CG) per team, to eliminate that problem. And it works quite well.

If more than two engineers pick CG, then the third one dies upon respawing (without penalties). Same goes for the third (or any other number) sniper.

I think limiting things like that is stupid, personally. Even though I hate CG spammers. I just don't like the idea of telling other people how they should be playing the game.

And oh yeah, it goes against the ToC that people agree to when renting a server and can potentially get it shut down. Unless it's on unranked servers, then that's perfectly fine.

^I think it is so that you are allowed to limit class/weapons as long as it's not completely banned. I might be wrong though. But imo these kinds of limitations are silly.

Anyone noticing a trend of team stacking? Might as well be coincidences but today far too many servers had something like rank 10-20s against 30-40s (rank doesn't mean skill yeah yeah I know, but when it comes to extremes like this, one team usually gets steamrolled). Or a clan server where one team basically consisted of the clan members....

    • Zed 1.7.2 has landed with updated OpenCode models, bug fixes and other improvements by David Uzondu Zed 1.7.2 recently landed on the stable release channel, bringing a host of AI-related features including automatic context compaction and settings-based skill management, along with other things like better Markdown preview rendering and custom git commands in the graph view. Starting with the AI stuff, the developers introduced "/compact", a command that basically summarizes your conversation history on demand. This tool prevents your active chat window from hitting token limits by compressing older parts of the dialogue into a brief overview. In addition to that, the team relocated skill management to the settings UI, improving how the application communicates errors regarding those skills, and updated the OpenCode model roster to support DeepSeek V4 Flash, MiniMax M3, Qwen 3.7 Plus, and Nemotron 3 Ultra Free. External agent users can also monitor context window cost metrics and delete individual sessions directly from their history. Right-clicking ref labels in the git graph now opens a context menu that runs different actions against selected targets, kind of how VS Code does it. Here are some of the bug fixes this new release brings: The active agent fails to auto-select when creating a new git worktree. A scrollbar unexpectedly appears on wrapped code blocks in the agent chat. Collapse indicators for project headers appear when performing sidebar searches. Bracketed ellipsis title prefixes fail to show the ellipsis icon properly. Project icons render incorrectly in the recent projects picker. Diff hunk controls appear inside non-editable commit view multibuffers. The software update button hangs indefinitely on the downloading stage. Restoring an agent terminal in a remote project triggers a sudden crash. Splitting a pane that contains an active commit view causes a crash. Linux Wayland freezes when trying to read the clipboard from laggy external apps. Zed is a "newish" code editor trying to break the massive stronghold VS Code has on the developer community. Funny enough, the editor was created by former GitHub employees who worked on the Atom text editor (which Microsoft killed in 2022, several years after it bought GitHub). The project officially hit version 1.0 back in April, introducing platform parity for Windows and Linux alongside deep support for DeepSeek-V4-Pro.
    • 26H2 absolutely will support ARM Windows just not on devices that came with 26H1. This is evident by the fact I am running 26H2, which on my MacBook Neo and Surface Pro 12 (inch), within a VM.

    • The FIFA World Cup is not US centric.
    • It’s amusing how Microsoft is pushing IT admins as if this was a major, game-changing update. In reality, it’s just an enablement package that bumps the build number, which is disappointing compared to the more substantial 22H2 and 24H2 releases. Technically, 25H2, 26H1, and the upcoming 26H2 are essentially the same, differing only in support schedules. They could have included the Windows K2 improvements here, but chose not to. The era of Windows being in the backburner continues, and this 26H2 release feels like an afterthought. Shame, Nadella, shame.
