It's so easy to die now with the improved hit registration. :/

Everyone talks about it being improved but it has kinda gotten worse for me. Far too often slugs or shots from the Rex don't register at all even though I clearly see blood splatters. Pretty frustrating when that happens. :/

@+Chasethebase

Play medic and heal like crazy = quick leveling up. Go a bit easy on the revives though, there's no point in reviving if your facing a bunch of enemies. But, at the same time, don't completely ignore dead guys either. :p

The solution is simple -- don't give in to the Black Ops hype. I think I'm probably the only person here who isn't the slightest bit interested in that game, though. In fact I'm dreading it, all we'll see on youtube for the next 3 months is boring black ops videos.

After getting my second soldier to level 36, I'm now completely burned off of this game and all it's maps. Even thinking to skip Vietnam to take a good break from it (because the expansion is pretty much the same game), and just wait For Battlefield 3. Which I'm hoping going to be worth the wait, and not just be another MOH miss.

Same here..u kinda lose interests once we unlock all classes and skills/weapons. Might pre order Black Ops for a different style of gameplay though

You are not alone mate.

Check out my post history lol.

Black Ops is basically the same as Modern Warfare 2 (which means the same as World at War & Modern Warfare the original) with new maps + new perks + dedicated servers.

I really don't see what the big fuzz is all about to be quite honest, I would understand if they were debuting a brand new engine or something, but no, It's the same IW Engine 4.0, or whatever it's called, all over again (which is starting to look real old).

What all these COD fans need is a good 2h session of BFBC2 with everything maxed out + War Tapes = best MP experience to date.

Do you guys feel tha the framerate drops in intense situations with 40mm grenades and explosions? Also maybe the mouse movement is weird at times?

Smoke is no joke in this game. So a little slowdown is expected under these kind of situations, even on super high end cards.

I mean, I have a GTX 470 myself, and I can definitely see a dip in performance when under ultra heavy fire.

I can't say I've ever really noticed any framerate drops from any particular thing. Some times my gameplay will be so smooth it seems unreal. The next day on the same map and same server it will feel terribly laggy. I think it just has to do with the game still being poorly optimized for the pc and of course the servers performance, as well.

You are not alone mate.

Yeah, those are pretty much all the reasons I have no idea interest in that game. It just looks more of the same, and I think Activision will be emboldened by the success of mw2 and it's map packs and charge more for less for maps and the like this time around, as well.

I agree with everything else you said, too, but I disagree with you about the War Tapes. Maybe it's just my sound system on my computer but War Tapes puts to much emphasis on ambient noise and reverb for my tastes.

...new weapons, new games modes and playlists, new unlock/progression system, new theater mode, new singleplayer, new zombies, new combat training mode...

but yea, basically the same

What all these COD fans need is a good 2h session of BFBC2 with everything maxed out + War Tapes = best MP experience to date.

Perhaps on PC. On xbox this game is pretty broken.

You can't be serious right?, you just can't.

How could anyone be interested in playing any of those MP Modes, seriously, I just don't get it. Definition of arcade-ish.

I guess I like my games to have some level of thinking/strategy involved. Not just some run n gun/campfest game.

EDIT: And BTW, why on earth would you read what the Ignorant Gaming Noobs have to say about anything?

Yeah.. not a single interesting thing about any of that. I'm not trying to start a flame war here or anything but I still haven't seen a single thing that would make me consider spending more than $1 on.

At it's core it's still the same exact game as the last 2 modern warfare games with little to no variation in it's game play. Regardless that they made it so killstreaks do not count towards each other the game will still be about them. People will still think it's the most important thing in the game to have a 25 to 1 kdr. It will still be about twitch gaming skills and o m g I pwnd yer face noob. And it will still be a game that will appeal very much to younger kids because of those reasons. Granted that not all people will be like that who play the game but the majority will.

And that's another thing, lots of people complain that only KDR matters in BC2 and yet completely ingore the fact that that's what the CoD series has always been about.

ANYWAYS. This is not the thread to discuss Black Ops. I suggest we not derail this thread any further.

Agreed 100%.

So guys... thoughts on tomorrow's new BF game announcement? according to pretty much everything I've read, it seems that this is going to be another play 4 free BF title, but there's a part of me that wishes for a new BF2142, BF2143! lol (Impossible I know =/)

EDIT: Just imagine BF2142 built around a new Frostbite engine...

    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2 to finally get one of the most requested features by Sayan Sen This past week Microsoft officially confirmed Windows 11 version 26H2 with the latest build, 26300.8697, for testing in the experimental Insider channel. The company also published more details about it mainly directed towards IT admins and system admins. Essentially version 26H2 will be delivered via an enablement package (eKB) over Windows 11 25H2. If you are wondering about some of the upcoming features in the next Windows version, one of them is certainly very interesting as Microsoft has confirmed it is finally bringing one of the most overwhelmingly requested features ever. March Rogers, the Partner Director of Design at Microsoft, recently highlighted some of the Search improvements that the company is testing, and during the interaction with users on X where he posted it, Rogers also confirmed that the company is working on disabling web search results inside Search. This is something which many users find quite annoying as Windows would often serve them links to Bing which it feels could be more helpful rather than bringing up the actual object or app the user may be searching for on their PC. Finally though the company is prioritizing local file search over the web. However the feature could not be disabled for many users as not all new features are immediately rolled out to everyone. Image via phantomofearth (X) Windows enthusiast phantomofearth who likes to dig deep into new builds uncovered the IDs you will need to enable these features. Using the following feature IDs the new Search-related features landing in Windows 11 26H2 can be used. Follow the steps below to enable the new Search experience on Windows 11 build 26300.8697: Download ViveTool from GitHub and unpack the files in a convenient and easy-to-find folder. Press Win + X and select Terminal (Admin). Switch Windows Terminal to the Command Prompt profile with the Ctrl + Shift + 2 shortcut or by clicking the arrow-down button at the top of the window. Navigate to the folder containing the ViveTool files with the CD command. For example, if you have placed ViveTool in C:\Vive, type CD C:\Vive. Type vivetool /enable /id: and press Enter. Restart your computer. If you change your mind and want to restore, repeat the steps above and replace /enable with /disable in the commands on steps 5 and 6. Delightedly and perhaps also expectedly, once you disable web search and other such bloat, the Windows 11 Search is said to get snappier as remarked by another Windows enthusiast Xeno.
