It's a stupid lazy change. They could have taken the much better approach and modified the placement of the mcoms so they aren't out in the open or in destructible buildings or added more obstructions in front of them. But that would require effort on their part. Much easier to change a few values here and there.

Shooting MCOMs with tanks/explosives is still (and always has been/will be) a valid tactic. So no reason to move them. But it do agree that MCOMs in destructible buildings is a very bad design choice. It's one of the reasons I never play White Pass rush.

Apparently a bunch of people got their hands on an early version of the r10 patch (includes the new maps) and now they're getting banned and wonder why. Can people really be that dense?

And they're saying the new maps are huge, the size of BF2 maps which is awesome. I can't wait to give them a try.

Some gameplay footage on Oasis conquest:

Looks good, a decent urban map. I've forgotten how good this game sounds.

Lower quality (might not be done processing yet) Cold War gameplay footage:

lol @ the guy using acog on the f2000.

People are already bitching that there aren't enough flags on the new maps and that the M14 and G3 are going to be over powered with optics. And none of these things are even officially released yet.

Oh yes, and one more undocumented change. According to some players on the PS3 that got the patch yesterday, they moved some mcoms around in White Pass so they aren't in buildings. See, DICE can be not lazy when they need to! To bad they didn't take that initiative with the rest of the maps.

Ya, the White Pass change might make me actually play it. Regarding OMG optics with all kits maeks OP!!1, well, considering it's not out yet, it means jack. People, especially in EA UK forums have and will whine about anything. Also, no one whines about red dot/acog SVU/T88 and they have the same stats as M14.

Not sure of G3 needed optics, its ironsights are actually pretty good.

I am skeptical about the small amount of flags in Heavy metal though.

of course they will, they are a bunch of whiny diving soccer players ;)

It's here, tonight/tomororw! But I'm not sure if this actually will give us access to the new maps. It just says that i's preparing for that..

Edit: And holy ****, that guy enjoys his use of the enter key way to much. I'll try to fix that.

Edit 2: Fixed obscene spacing.

SPECACT kits now available on the pc as well:

http://eastore.ea.co...uctID=192365600

Also, it appears that Vietnam has gotten an official release date of December 18th. So I guess that means if you pre order it from the EA store you can plat it on the 15th. Steam has it as well but I'm not sure if that gives access to the head start.

For me, EA has it at US$20, Steam at US$15.

That's weird, for me it's $14.99 on the EA store.

http://eastore.ea.co...uctID.219316800

Also the specact kits are for pre order only at this point, no where on the US page does it say that though.

And all my pins and insignias are finished, I'm finally at 100%. They actually managed to fix something in a patch. The C4 bug is still around though.

Hey guys, If you were to recommend BF:BC2, MoH or CoD:BO for multiplayer which one would you shoot for?

I'll ask this in CoD thread as well I think.

MoH is probably a non-contender, that game was such a let down.

Black Ops is a newer game so that automatically means more people will be playing it. And it's $60 unless you can find a deal for it somewhere. And it's Activision so any map packs will have to be bought.

BC2 on the other hand, has been out for about 10 months now so there aren't as many people playing as there used to be. But I just hoped in my first game in weeks at 3am and found quite a few full servers with a good pings. Also the game is now $20 with more free stuff coming out very shortly and the Vietnam expansion for $15 coming out within the next month.

As far as price goes you'll be getting more with BC2 in the short term. But the rest comes down to your gaming preferences.

I hope Fortunate Song isn't the menu music... that's going to become annoying after awHile.

It is. Installed now the official released patch and when you click on the "Vietnam" to get a "Pre-order your copy now" message you can still see and hear the main menu of the expansion, and Fortunate Son is the menu's song.

$5.50 for the SPECACT kit is a joke. Wasn't it supposed to be free on the PC? I doubt the majority of PC players would spend money on a cosmetic upgrade, especially with BC2: Vietnam on the horizon.

They've always said it would be paid for dlc from the first day it was announced as far as I know.

    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2 to finally get one of the most requested features by Sayan Sen This past week Microsoft officially confirmed Windows 11 version 26H2 with the latest build, 26300.8697, for testing in the experimental Insider channel. The company also published more details about it mainly directed towards IT admins and system admins. Essentially version 26H2 will be delivered via an enablement package (eKB) over Windows 11 25H2. If you are wondering about some of the upcoming features in the next Windows version, one of them is certainly very interesting as Microsoft has confirmed it is finally bringing one of the most overwhelmingly requested features ever. March Rogers, the Partner Director of Design at Microsoft, recently highlighted some of the Search improvements that the company is testing, and during the interaction with users on X where he posted it, Rogers also confirmed that the company is working on disabling web search results inside Search. This is something which many users find quite annoying as Windows would often serve them links to Bing which it feels could be more helpful rather than bringing up the actual object or app the user may be searching for on their PC. Finally though the company is prioritizing local file search over the web. However the feature could not be disabled for many users as not all new features are immediately rolled out to everyone. Image via phantomofearth (X) Windows enthusiast phantomofearth who likes to dig deep into new builds uncovered the IDs you will need to enable these features. Using the following feature IDs the new Search-related features landing in Windows 11 26H2 can be used. Follow the steps below to enable the new Search experience on Windows 11 build 26300.8697: Download ViveTool from GitHub and unpack the files in a convenient and easy-to-find folder. Press Win + X and select Terminal (Admin). Switch Windows Terminal to the Command Prompt profile with the Ctrl + Shift + 2 shortcut or by clicking the arrow-down button at the top of the window. Navigate to the folder containing the ViveTool files with the CD command. For example, if you have placed ViveTool in C:\Vive, type CD C:\Vive. Type vivetool /enable /id: and press Enter. Restart your computer. If you change your mind and want to restore, repeat the steps above and replace /enable with /disable in the commands on steps 5 and 6. Delightedly and perhaps also expectedly, once you disable web search and other such bloat, the Windows 11 Search is said to get snappier as remarked by another Windows enthusiast Xeno.
