Confirmed: BF:BC2 map pack 7 will be released tomorrow featuring 4 brand new maps.

BF:BC2:Vietnam will be released on the PC on the 18th December and then the 21st December on Xbox 360 and PS3 (December 22nd on PS3 in Europe).

Ah, so the 18th is the 3 day head start date and not the 15th. And I can't wait to try the new maps, bring 'em on! :woot: :woot: :woot:

I see many deaths in my future until I learn the new maps. Until then people who played BC1 are gonna have a sizeable advantage. :wacko: :laugh:

I CANNOT wait to download the new Map Pack. I'm already bored of COD BO MP, can't wait to dive back into this game

If you run your game today it will download the patch which includes the new maps + all the info for the Vietnam XPACK and SPECACT. It's something like 2.6gb though so be warned. Took me about an hour or so through the launcher. There is a place to directly download it from EA but I can't find the link right now and it's been confirmed that it's the same version that downloads through the launcher. I'll post it if I find it.

He is playing it on the 360, but I am playing it on the PC, so thanks for these.

Also where did you buy Vietnam from? Can I buy it from Steam already?

Yeah, you can buy it on Steam now and the EA store. I'm not sure if Steam gets the 3 day head start though if you care about that. I'll have to look into that.

And as soon as I posted that I open up Steam and the advertisement that pops up is for Vietnam and says you get the 3 days early access. So that answers that. :rofl:

$5.50 for the SPECACT kit is a joke. Wasn't it supposed to be free on the PC? I doubt the majority of PC players would spend money on a cosmetic upgrade, especially with BC2: Vietnam on the horizon.

Where did people get the info that it was supposed to be free? Even in the original announcement DICE said that it won't.

The new maps will be unlocked tomorrow/today, depending on the timezone btw.

Harvest Day from Bad Company 1, Cold War and Heavy Metal from Bad Company 2's single-player and the number 1 voted fan-favourite map from Bad Company 1, Oasis, rounds out the latest VIP Map Pack, which isn't too bad for a freebie.

VIP Pack 7 tomorrow (360). Think it's time to hang up BO.

I'm actually thinking of taking CoD for a trade to get BC2 back. Thought I would get into BO but never did, what a waste for me.

Had some good fun with BC2 when it came out, hopefully with the map packs and Vietnam I can rekindle that fun.

Some are saying that's how it's always been on the console versions? I haven't flown any today but they're saying they're easier to control as well.

And it's because they've got a passenger in there. So no friendly fire is allowing them to essentially turn the heli's into guided building destroyers.

I'll admit it, I bought the specact kit. A huge benefit to the kits that I hadn't realized is that I now have the ability to store 2 different set ups for each class. That's very useful. And I needed more assault rifles to platinum. :laugh:

F2000 still sucks ass though.
