Yeah that's the one I prefer, or at least I think it's called Oasis. Only had a few rounds on it, but man every time was hectic. I'm still learning these new maps, they are completely new to me.
Oasis in Conquest that is, Oasis in Rush kinda sucks. Maybe because I'm not used to such hugh wide open spaces. Cold War looks like it could be a lot of fun, looks a lot like White Pass which is never a bad thing.

They've always said it would be paid for dlc from the first day it was announced as far as I know.

Where did people get the info that it was supposed to be free? Even in the original announcement DICE said that it won't.

The new maps will be unlocked tomorrow/today, depending on the timezone btw.

You guys are right. :pinch: I guess I was hoping for a little too much.

I am just curious about the comment that the patch for the PC also includes Vietnam already. Has this been confirmed? Just seems a little strange to me since Vietnam is indeed listed as it's own game in Steam.

It's all included in the patch, that's been confirmed by various DICE people. I guess they figured it would be easier to roll out one giant patch instead of 2 smaller ones within the space of a few weeks.

And this way there is no waiting or downloading once the 18th arrives, they just unlock it to play and we have at it.

Cold War is basically a better white pass :)
*splosion in pants* Ahhhhh man, that's gonna rock!

Indeedy, BC2:V was included in the latest patch, I've even got a "Vietnam" option on my main BC2 screen.

Does anyone got any FPS problems playing BC2 on a PC? The latest game update, pb and nvidia drivers doesn't help me at all :( Every 2-3 minutes I'm getting a huge fps drop from 50 to like... 5 for the few seconds and then game continues to run smooth.

I would like some sugestion or any help to figure out what is going on, or if there is anyone experiencing the same problem.

Running 7 HomePremium 64 bit / C2D 2,66 / 8800GTS 320 / 4 Gigs of ram with latest drivers and all patches installed.

Those new wide open space maps, complete ****. Everyone is in tank, or either playing sniper up in the hill - and these were fan voted? Whatever happened to CQC infantry only, that is where the real fun lies!

Exclude your BC2 folder (game and save folders) from your AV software.

I think the new maps are great fun. Just because they don't go along with how your prefered play method doesn't mean they suck. Cold War (White pass 2.0) should be what you're looking for though. And it's really fun as well.

Ya know, I've seen people complain about both styles of maps and it's kind of funny. First, when BC2 came out people said the maps were too small. Now we have bigger maps and they're saying they are to big. And in Cold Wars case that it's too small, too cramped, and things like that. And they're completely overlooking the fact that for months and months everyone was asking for new maps and now we have them. DICE can't win when it comes to maps. I believe they'll be releasing more maps in the future, though. There are still some that don't have rush/conquest variants.

All I know is my SPM is suffering because it's so hard to get to the objectives on the new maps.

    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
    • I think I understood the article fine. Online password managers open users up to more possibilities of getting hacked, and due to KeePass being offline and local it reduces the idea of getting hacked. If someone chooses to put their database online they're kinda missing the point. With regards to the idea of the on-prem idea, I would have two issues. I'm not sure about the first issue, but I wouldn't be surprised about them offering a cloud storage for the passwords that most wouldn't bother to switch off, regardless of if they went for on-prem or not. The second issue is that the on-prem solution for Bitwarden costs money, whereas KeePass is free and open-source (as far as I am aware). The article points out how to sync the database between devices, and I recognise that deficiency in security. But it isn't a necessity. So both services can offer a same idea, but one is free and the other isn't...choices, choices.... But to each their own.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
