I am really enjoying the Vietnam add-on, but I am still struggling to get into Bad Company 2 over all, I don't know why, it offers everything I want when I want to get away from Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, I suppose my main gripe is the weapons, they all seem a little under powered, anyone got any tips to help get me into Bad Company 2 and the Vietnam add-on?

Does playing in a Xbox Live Party help? I normally just jump into a game on my own and join a squad, any tips would be greatly appreciated as I really do want to enjoy this game.

Thanks

So, how is Vietnam for everyone? Worth purchasing?

I would say definitely.

I think it's safe to say that the pc is winning the battle.

Not as drastic as I thought it would be actually.

DirtyLarry, thanks for the recommendation. Been playing the singleplayer campaign for a few hours now (always play the SP before MP, so I get used to the weapons), and I'm loving it. The characters, their humour and breaks in action make it stand out from the last CoD game I played (MW2). :)

brave man talking against COD, by some idiots anything COD is like the holy grail of gaming and they will defend it with fanatic fanboyism! btw i agree with you :p

I recently got back into this because a friend bought it and I was trying to show him the ropes and I found out that in my absence the red dot sight had become available on the M14, the very next game I went 40 - 22 KDR with that weapon! I always bitched and moaned that I couldn't put Red Dot Sight on that thing and that's why I wanted it so bad (Y) Love this game and will be getting Vietnam tonight if not then tomorrow for sure!

Also I played a few rounds with ynnoj who's also from Neowin and I seem to have forgotten how awesome Neowinians are to play along side (forgive me O Mighty Neobond :p ) so I will be deleting a few inactive people from my (full) friends list to make way for some of you Neowinians that may want to hook up for a few rounds on the 360 (Y)

This holiday is really busy for me, so I won't be able to get Vietnam until sometime after Christmas, but I definitely want to hop on soon. We should squad up (Y)

Too bad S1uggo traded this game in for Black Ops LOL

Awesome. Very happy to hear you are enjoying it. I am a huge fan of the BF series, so I definitely recommend it when I can and when I feel it is worthy. You should absolutely 110% enjoy the MP once you are done with the SP. The MP is truly were the game shines. If you have it on PC feel free to add me as a friend, soldier name in-game is DirtyLarry, same as here. But very cool you are enjoying it. (Y)

So I guess it will be PS3, PC and 360 actions combined. It shouldn't take too long... that's if console players aren't too busy sniping in a bush some where...

Happy Birthday Man!

Just bought this game from the steam sale and I have no clue what to do. I'm used to CoD style games where if you see someone you kill them. This game though seems totally different that I dont even know where to begin.

That's funny because I always feel that way when I play a CoD game in MP! I absolutely feel lost in CoD.

I forgot to say that I bought this when it was on sale on Steam. I'll get around to playing it soon, once I ween myself off Gran Turismo 5. :p

And it Just so turns out I am just implementing a new program here on neowin. That is bfbc2 pro-power tips, which is priceless information, all for the extremely fair price of just lending me a car here or a car there in Gran Turismo 5! Let Me know if you are interested.

I was bored a few weeks ago and decided to reinstall BC2 buy Vietnam and after playing it decided it was crap and went back to playing classic BC2 and i thought id give Hardcore mode a go and damn im hooked now its so much better than regular mode.

I know a lot of these points were medal awards rather than game actions but im proud of it. I LOVE Heavy Metal and Harvest Day maps they play to my favourite classes so well (Recon and Engineer)

Wow, I thought PC would win but not by that much! It's shameful how little the console folks don't help each other, instead trying to get their own K/D ratio up. I'm always giving people ammo and swapping classes so I can revive the dead folks...

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
