Wow, I thought PC would win but not by that much! It's shameful how little the console folks don't help each other, instead trying to get their own K/D ratio up. I'm always giving people ammo and swapping classes so I can revive the dead folks...

What are you talking about?

Of course folks on Xbox help each other out. I am often surprised at how much assistance I get from random Joe's.

I'd guess one reason PC are ahead by so much is because they are generally, a much more hardcore crowd; playing more often, for longer periods.

Having played Vietnam exclusively since it came out, I now find it extremely hard to play vanilla. It's almost boring in contrast. The action is slow, the atmosphere is non-existent. It just isn't as fun.

Some people prefer a slower more tactical game rather than RUUUUUUUUUUN PEW PEW PEW WOKKA WOKKA WOOOOOOOSH EURGH RESPAWN RUUUUUUUUUUUN PEW PEW PEW EURGH RESPAWN EURGH, etc..

Actually, which is quite interesting, according to http://www.battlefieldbadcompany2.com/globalstats?platform=pc PC has the least hours played

Huh, you must play with some pretty good people then. I can be dying and not be able to see because of all the blood on my screen and I still have to go and beg somebody to give me health. Getting ammo is a whole other question.

I'm not saying people don't help each other out, far from it, but not as much as folks on PC do. I've seen a fair few gameplay videos and played it myself at a mates house and there's ammo boxes scattered around as well as health.

There's more repairs and revives on 360, as well as time spent, so maybe you could say that PC is indeed more helpful. Less time spent but nearly as many repairs and revives and a lot more spots.

I actually said this earlier in the thread, but I think the reason the PC players are more team oriented is simply because a lot of the people playing on the PC are like myself, and have been playing the series for quite some time. As such, playing with teamwork as a strong foundation is just a result of playing Battlefield 2, which actually was much more teamwork oriented then Bad Company. They have actually dumbed down the squad and teamwork aspect of the game since BF2, partly so it made a smooth transition to the consoles, but being someone who played BF2 on the PC, things like spotting, supplying, reviving, just all of the classic team oriented actions, are just second nature, and something PC players tend to do without even thinking anything about it. It is just part of the game so to speak. I really think that has a whole, whole lot to do with it.

That is interesting. Are there any figures on how many people own the game on PC vs console?

That's probably right. I imagine there's a lot more mic communication between randoms on PC. I think I've only ever heard a mic being used on Xbox once or twice.

Though also, perhaps PC having more players in map could help. Certainly in some of the tight choke points one could dump ammo/health and get quite a lot of points if more players were running through.

In-game VOIP doesn't work so, no, unless you use vent/ts/mumble/whatever there is no voice communication at all.
