This game runs likes a bitch on my HD6950. Any tips? What do I need to tweak in the ATi drivers? I was getting 100FPS+ on my old 9800GTX+. With my HD6950 I can barely old steady at 80FPS! With the exact same in game settings...

I have noticed that its starting to get a bit laggy and choppy on my 5770 too, Didn't really think much of it until I saw your post.

It's quite rare for me to get excited over a game and I know this is so last year. But what the heck, it was on offer so I thought I would buy it. Being in a situation where it's a matter of life or death is a nerve racking experience. You have to make snap decisions on the run and make the right decision whilst your heart is pounding in your head and your mouth is dry with no spit. Well that just about sums up a realistic situation. Battlefield BC2 has to be one of most realistic war games I have ever played. I have been putting this game off for a while because there were reports of bugs which have now been sorted. The patch at the start of the game was quite massive it took ages to install, not quite sure what the size of the patch was. I like the fact that you can blow this apart, shoot and blow walls up. Not like in some games where you hide behind a breeze block wall and nothing goes through...

Awesome game cannot wait for Battlefield BC3 looks awesome. I put in on realistic and it's bl***y hard... but playable, makes the game more realistic than having it on wimp mode... :woot:

Awesome game love it to bits, I haven't played online yet... is it as good as the single player.

Thanks to a recent PunkBuster update, this game is render unplayable for me (around the same time I got my HD6950). Turns out PunkBuster doesn't like my new GFX card (HD6950). Thank god I was bored with BC2 already (only played it because most of my friends are still playing it). I'm keeping myself busy with Crysis 2, Portal 2 & Dead Space until Brink comes along!

Hey there folks

I was playing this game on PS3 for a year and was level 30 but I decided to stop gaming on ps3 for multiplatform games.

?f I pick up this game via Steam on PC, would I be satisfied.

Are the graphics better than ps3?

Are there many people still playing the game?

Are there people cheating?

Thank you.

I can't answer how many people are playing the game because I haven't played in 2 or 3 months, but the graphics should be better.

As far as cheaters go, I rarely saw a hacker in BC2 maybe that's changed but punk buster I felt was doing a sufficient job in preventing hackers.

Yeah just join punk buster enabled servers and you will rarely, if ever, see a hacker. I can honestly say if I ever did play with one, I never knew it.

Just make sure to manually check and make sure your version of punkbuster is the latest.

Just refer to this page on how to set up manual punk buster if you have never done so, download the PBSetup, and just check it every now and then. And if you wind up getting kicked from servers after a minute or two with a punk buster message, it is almost always, at least it was for me it was every single time, because of an outdated punk buster client.

Lol

Punkbuster?

Great name :)

So I am thinking of getting the game via Steam. Would Punkbuster work with steam?

Also another question. I was level 29 with my ps3 account. can I continue from levle 29 in PC? Maybe by entering my EA games account that is associated with the ps3 version of the game?

My laptop is coming out next saturday and I WILL be using punkbuster and setup my computer according to it.

I will also check out 3D but I am guessing it will give me input lag as in PS3 3D games.

1. Of course it will.

2. No, that is not possible.

Just had a few rounds, I was meant to get 3 screenshots but the server stats were buggy for some reason and only showed my previous score twice :s Anyways, the first one, I got 42 kills in one run with a Tank, I found a nice spot on Oasis where I could hide behind a rock, pop my head out, kill a few people and moved behind. Also had a great squad member who kept jumping out and repairing the tank for me. I was a complete nightmare for the other team. They couldn't get out of their own base since I was protecting their first control point (No, I wasn't spawn killing).

The third round (second round is missing like I said above), I was about to get 58 kills/assisted kills using the tank. I found out that the best combination when using a vehicle would be to use the enhanced warheads, especially when in a transport helicopter, they kill people quite easily. Also, for some reason, in the first picture, my client was bugging out and was going through all my ranks again which was really weird.

:)

if you can get the vanilla game for under $20 I'd say get it. It's worth every penny IMO. I got the ultimate edition for $35 like 2 or 3 months ago and it's the only shooter, frankly the only game I play now. I've also been a battlefield nut though. I didn't get the first Bad Company but after playing 2 my faith in battlefield as a franchise was definately restored.

I got BC2 when it initially came out, but all the bugs, glitches and general slllllllooooowwww patches made me lose interest. Decided to grab hold of the Vietnam expansion a few days ago and I love it. The maps are a nice change and seem to offer more tactical freedom... I am yet to play it with voice comms. and a squad who don't just run round like headless chickens, but apart from that, it's keeping me entertained!

BC2 is still very active on the PC. Tons of servers all through out the day/night.

I play it pretty much every day! And honestly, after mainly playing it on PS3 for ages and getting it on Steam for $9 during a sale, it plays WAY better than the PS3 version. Mainly because the controls are better, but the game runs great even on lesser systems.

This is what it looks like with the settings maxed with DirectX 11 enabled:

Finally giving this game a try after all the ranting and raving my brother does about the series and all the good news and Internet anticipation of the upcoming Battlefield 3. Only on the second mission but I definitely see the attraction, especially after previously watching him in multiplayer. The campaign is enjoyable so far and I like the destructibility. The game definitely looks and plays better than CoD; I feel if this continues I will have been converted. Well, back to the campaign (xbox 360 version if that matters to anyone).

I decided to play some more Battlefield tonight, and I forgot how much fun it was. Even in the space of two matches I was having moments that made me smile. The game truly is tremendously fun, and I find it to be quite relaxing to play. I've grown to enjoy the MP-412 REX as my sidearm at the moment; if it continues to be awesome I could be retiring the M1911 .45 for some time. One moment that really made me laugh occurred on Valparaiso, at the fourth base in Rush (I was playing as part of the attacking team). I was sprinting through the forest, and I could hear one of the quads crashing. I stepped through the trees and found the guy just sitting there as if he hadn't a care in the world. So I shot him with the MP-412 REX and rode into their base on it.

At the third base I was camping with the AN-94 Akaban, upon the hillside. I won't deny that I was camping, as I was doing so in order to try and draw attention away from the rest of my team. I've discovered that the AN-94 is one of the best rifles in the game with an ACOG Scope attached thanks to that moment! The enemy team tended to be looking for me as I was putting two-round bursts on targets, and killing quite a few of them. While they were coming for me, my team managed to plant and divert their attention back from me, before I drew their attention to me again. It was quite chaotic, but the rocks provided some excellent cover for continued support. I did support my team as best I could from behind the rocks, tossing ammunition and calling them over to stock up if necessary. I've definitely been impressed by the AN-94 Akaban, though I doubt it'll replace the MG3 as my favorite gun in the entire game. Nothing compares to the MG3 for fun experiences. I just love the noise it makes.

    • I think there will be a 27H1 for actual users of 26H1 The 25h2 supports ARM too : Snapdragon X, Snapdragon X Plus and Snapdragon X Elite
    • Poll: Grand Theft Auto VI price predictions, cast your vote by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe After years of waiting, Rockstar will be solidifying the launch date of Grand Theft Auto VI with the launch of pre-orders next week. While the studio has confirmed a date for this occasion, it is yet to attach a price to the highly anticipated game. So let's see what our readers think it will cost at launch. The Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders will kick off on June 25 for digital and physical editions. Unless some last-minute changes happen, the release date will be November 19, 2026, across Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, there's still no information about a PC version from the developer or the publisher Take-Two. Now the question becomes, how much will Grand Theft Auto VI cost at launch? The game is predicted by some analysts to be the biggest launch of an entertainment product ever. With the amount of hype that has been built behind it and with ballooning development costs, Take-Two may price this Grand Theft Auto entry differently from other AAA titles. The current price of a AAA game is $69.99. That norm almost rose to $79.99 before calming down. But with such a massive release, Grand Theft Auto VI may be the game that pushes the boundary again. It's also possible that Take-Two keeps the price relatively low to increase the number of players that jump in early and keep them hooked on Grand Theft Auto Online to spend on microtransactions for years to come. Keep in mind that the below poll is asking for a prediction of the standard edition price, not a deluxe or any other special edition that Take-Two will introduce for additional benefits. Also, there is the chance of the company splitting up the campaign and online portions. If you think that will happen, put your vote on what you think will be the total cost of the two.
