I didn't even know that was possible

Perhaps I should start doing it then ...

Holy **** neither did I..... This entire time I have been owning people up while Recon and never KNEW you could spot people... lol

Are you guys serious with the spotting? That was pretty much a staple of BF2, although it was a bit different than it is now, so I have always been a spotting mad man. Really helpful for when you are in a squad taking out a tank, etc.

Well, considering I avoided BF2 like the plague, I don't see how I would have known :p

I thought you played it for all those Mods people made like Project Real Wind Simulator 5.0

I am pretty damn sure SMELTN played it though no?

Even if you did play BF2 I could see how maybe you did not even use it, and maybe just not remembering because it was a bit different in BF2, you had what was more of a radial dial with options, one of them was Enemy Spotted, so I used to use that alot.

And actually I figured out the spotting in Bad Company 1 by accident on the 360, so I knew about it on there as well.

I was just busting cahones, it is a very easy thing to miss honestly.

You honestly think enemy tagging is included in realistic modifications?

But I know man, at least it's an appropriate time to learn these little things .... :shiftyninja:

Of course it was not included, I just wanted to make a joke about realistic modifications is all.

Trying to think of any other little things you guys may not now, and that is probably the only major game-play related thing I can think of. If I think of any will come back and share.

I love this new 'glitch' or whatever it is, that allows players to get on top of the hill next to the house at the small hill, at the "second phase".

And by love I mean effin' hate

yeah everyone uses that like crazy.. basically I just spam nades up there and take out a ton of people.

And yeah DL you know I played all the BF games, but I seriously forgot all about the spotting.

Yep I knew you played it. Like I said in all fairness it is way different than it was in BF2. Honestly the way I found it was going with my BF2 instincts and hoping there would be the old options there used to be, which were much more squad oriented and also things like Follow Me, Need A Medic, etc. Or along those lines. It has been quite some time since I played it, but I definitely recall a radial dial with options similar to those I listed. Now it is just the one single spotting option. Hopefully BF3 is more like the old way.

Hell I play BF2 like a beast, and still do but i never called it spotting. I understand where the "spotting" comes from as it says SPOT then you right click and get a choice. I usually just said "Sniper Marked, assault Marked", etc when on voice chatting.

Either way I use to use it when in squad play. IN BC2 the whole you get free points for it is bogus. Makes me ONLY want to use it when I squad play and thats probably the only time ill use it, or to help myself mark someone as they run into the forest, thats helpful.

Sethos: WHYD YOU skip BF2?

Sethos: WHYD YOU skip BF2?

I didn't skip it completely, played it for a few weeks after release and then the interest died down.

Never really found a passion for that game, compared to the other games I played back then it was fairly ugly,

wasn't all that fun and back then I hated everything military set in arcade games because I felt they had butchered something

Today I'm like 3% more tolerant :p

Urgh.

Urgh.

Since I was ALWAYS in a Squad, that was not me. When I said spotting mad man I mean I actually used it when needed, not all of the time, when needed. This is not the first time you have quoted me to accuse me of doing something I just never did, but oh well, keep getting your kicks.

Cheer up DL! Just had an amazing game with a few mates. Though this map is intolerable now. :(

Really? When was the first time? It was just a joke anyways.
