Motoko.
Hey dudes I'm having some problems installing Max Payne Whenever I run the installer I get this message. I've tried going in explorer and setting 'setup.exe' to run in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3 with no luck. Any suggestions?
happymonkey
The "install.exe" in the root of the disc is 16-bit only - therefore cannot be run on a 64-bit OS. However, simply run the "x:\Disk1\setup.exe" - no compatibility mode is required. (replace x: with your actual CD-ROM drive, for example, d:) However, it will tell you have less than 96mb of RAM - lol - Just select Yes to continue the setup and all should be fine... Also, you must install the DirectX 9.0 (latest is Feb 2010) - download here. Finally, do not forget to install the following patches: Official v1.05 from http://www.3drealms.com/max/downloads.html Community-made patch from http://www.filedropper.com/maxpaynesoundpatchv112_1
