The problem is that you're posting what is, by all rights, a nice and clean wallpaper on a site with a very, very strong pro-Microsoft bias. It doesn't help that the iPad has been met with a lot of criticism over a perceived lack of features and lack of openness by the tech community at large.

What most of the people here are focusing on is not your work itself, but the notion expressed therein (that of the iPad being magical and revolutionary).

Personally, I think you did a good job on the image and anyone who likes the iPad or Apple stuff in general would most likely enjoy having it on their desktop.

My opinion of the iPad as a device is less positive but that has no bearing on what I think of your work. You do minimalism well and you have a good idea of the stylistic essence of Apple.

Guys, if you're going to say things like "fail," please explain why. What is good for a cheap laugh as an in-joke can be confusing and hurtful to someone who is trying to be creative and looking for feedback.

thx, now i'm getting it ;)

i thought, despite the name "neowin" that this site was more "open" according to likes and dislikes of others... (that is'nt ment critical)

thanks for the commending words :)

and now i'm getting the sarcastic aspect of the wallpaper... the text is what apple says about their product and i never thought about that way of looking at it...

On the whole it's not but like every place you go there is a "vocal minority" that just has to be heard. If you posted a wallpaper with the Windows logo and a slogan from MS, you'd probably get the exact same people making fun of Microsoft.

It's a nice minimal wall, it's too light for my taste. It also has an Apple product on it. ;)
