Need for Speed World

Recommended Posts

It's available now, you can download it off their site.

I don't have the greatest connection in the world so it annoys me that joining a race automatically means 8 players. Half the time I can't load the races, and I have absolutely no idea if its my connection or someone elses. This is a really poor design for something you're expecting people to pay for.

So I think I've pretty much given up on this game, except for the occasional cop chase deal until November when Criterions NFS comes.

No, you get plenty of those during gameplay. There's just a level/area cap on what you can unlock if you don't get the starter pack.

Is the cap daily use, or for all time?

trying it.. :)

I was playing it from the early private beta testing right up to the public beta. It was my original understanding that EA were going to charge to play so I stopped playing it. I suppose I will have to give it another go!

So I checked this out late last night, I was in the Beta at one point but really only checked it out a few minutes then forgot about it, but I have to say I like it, but my biggest question is... Do I really only have those 4 events to choose from and the stadium to show off? Is that the "catch" of the Beta? Or am I missing something? It says so far I have won 3 races, so I guess I need to do one of them, so will that open up more? Also is there a way to see if you already did an event, as I know the events I did already do are still available for me to choose, and I placed 1st in all of them, or can you just keep doing them over and over? I also initiated a pursuit and did one of those real quick, got out of it real easy.

I have to say though, I kind of like it, it is more along the lines of the older NFS games, which I always really liked.

I am hoping there is a bit more, but if not, I may actually spend the $20 on the starter kit if it provides a decent amount of gameplay. It says the starter kit is available until December, so I will wait to see how that pans out and what people say about it's value.

But I do kind of like it.

@ YoungG - I have not tried to chat at all yet, next time I am on I will try to see if I can.

Seems to be a trend seeing Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® Online and The Hunter http://www.thehunter.com/pub/ where you have to pay for upgrades. Web browser based games seems weird to me.

Just an FYI, this is not a web browser based game like TW. This is it's own exe game just like any other normal PC game.

Anyone figure out whats going on with the chat lol? Its not that important, but I have a couple buds on there that I cant type to..

Just checked it out, and it works no problem for me.

But I do have a possible solution why. Out of habit, I just run everything as an Administrator, so are you trying that? Right Clicking the icon and choose "Run As Administrator." I would not be surprised at all if that fixes it, as almost anytime I have any issues with a game, running as an Administrator fixes it, so that is why I just do it all the time right now.

Let me know, but chat definitely worked on my end.

Also, it is indeed a bit buggy, lots of objects just popping up out of nowhere is the biggest issue I have.

Nope did not work :(, this sucks so much lol; I can type in the message box, but if I push enter nothing happens. Thanks though =/

Yes that is the biggest bug that ruins the game the popping out of nowhere one..

Damn! Was really hoping I had a solution for you. Will keep thinking about it, and in the mean time good luck. (Y)

    • Report: iPhone Air isn't dead, and a second-generation model is planned for 2027 by Hamid Ganji Image via Apple Since the launch of the iPhone Air, we’ve heard conflicting rumors and speculation about the fate of Apple's ultra-thin iPhone. As it turns out, Apple is not going to ditch the Air model from its lineup, and a second generation is already planned for next year. As reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, citing people familiar with the matter, the second-generation iPhone Air is planned for spring 2027 and is poised to receive notable upgrades. The upgraded model, codenamed V62, will reportedly feature an additional rear camera for ultrawide photography. The new camera system is said to be in advanced testing within Apple. Gurman also says the second-generation iPhone Air could offer better battery life, either through a larger battery or software improvements. The overall design of the device is expected to remain unchanged. A single rear camera and below-average battery life were among the biggest drawbacks of the first-generation iPhone Air despite its $999 price tag. Hopefully, the next iPhone Air will fare better. Gurman also added that the device will be powered by the A20 Pro processor. The release of the second-generation iPhone Air in spring 2027 aligns with previous reports that Apple is shaking up the iPhone release cycle. Accordingly, the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the company’s first foldable iPhone are expected to launch in September 2026, followed by the iPhone 18 and the new iPhone Air roughly six months later. The 20th-anniversary iPhone is also reportedly planned for fall 2027. Meanwhile, if you’re planning to buy the refreshed iPhone Air, Apple might surprise you with a new price tag. As we reported today, CEO Tim Cook confirmed that price increases are on the way due to rising memory chip costs and a severe shortage. With that in mind, analysts estimate that the base iPhone 18 Pro could cost as much as $1,399 this year. The current $999 iPhone Air may not be immune to those price hikes.
