Reacon
Haha. So I just registerred the .exe extention in Windows 7 x64 to open in 7zip. Regedit also opens in 7zip... I opened an installer and it asked me what program I'd like to open it with. I assumed it was a self extracting .exe so I tried it with 7zip. Forgot to uncheck the box saying to always open with this. I really fail lol. Luckily I still had my... handy dandy... Ubuntu Live CD! 6.10 >.> So yeah. Is there any way I can fix this short of reinstalling 7? Thanks Neowin. Laughing up a storm at how I actually did this.

Going to make it an essential download for each install of Windows I do.

goretsky Supervisor Posted April 4, 2010 Supervisor Share Posted April 4, 2010 Hello, I have had good results fixing this type of error using the FixEXE program. The web site in question is in Italian, but the program itself is in English. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
