[Official] Red Dead Redemption

I couldn't help but think of Left 4 Dead 2 when I watched that trailer. Looks like they had some inspiration from Valve.

As for people's horses dying. Don't they just respawn? I've killed my own horse many times and I just whistle to call another one.

Yes they do respawn..lol.. are you by any chance picking the dlc up? We can totally do some Firefight on Zombies lol.

Okay. For a moment, I thought some people had their horses die permanently. That would really suck. As for the DLC, I won't be getting it because I don't own the game. I just play it on my brother's PS3 from time to time.

i watched my bro play this game on his 360 while on vacation. cool looking game. watching him play made me feel like it would be so much funner on pc with a mouse and keyboard though, and he agreed. tempted to go buy a 360 and a decent tv for this, but i think i'll wait(possibly forever) for the pc port.

Any idea about how many hours of play time you get with the single player mode? I don't usually get DLC for games but this is tempting seeing as how much i loved the original game.

Is there any chance that they will have a combined DLC pack which is slightly cheaper than buying all three?

Yup just buy the Undead Nightmare Collection.. it includes Undead Nightmare and the two other DLC's for $20

Didn't get the chance to play it for very long but what I saw was just awesome as hell - Quality game, quality atmosphere combined with some cheesy 80s humour and horror and you've got an epic cocktail! Must-have for any RDR fan.

And also, recorded my baby steps in the DLC;

Part 1

Part 2

^ Sethos, nice, thanks.

By the way do you need to complete the original game first? I'm almost there now. Also how does one start this DLC? Even when I have completed the main campaign there's going to be the side quest stuff I want to tie up.

No, you don't - You just pick "New Game" and then you can choose Undead Nightmare from there - It's a stand-alone experience.

Ahhh awesome, even better (Y) Although I was hoping to use the kick ass horses in normal SP :p

Hey guys, only just picked this up. I LOVE it so far. I am currently sat looking at my guy who is laid unconscious on the floor after crashing a wagon.

Is he going to wake up? I've hit every button, didn't get a DEAD screen.

Any help?

That's a bug, I've experienced it a couple of times myself. Only fix is to quit unfortunately.

Some site reporting that the game might be released on the PC this year, as WOG lists the game in store for future purchase:

    • Looks like the 7.1 is fake effects, can it at least do real 5.1? It says 'virtual 7.1' in all descriptions.
    • You can't, if you didn't notice, it doesn't support surround at all, it's right in the spec list.
    • Hi — I’m always interested in soundcards. Like displays, I just want to know I’m getting as much clean “sonic juice” into my brain as possible as the years take their toll. I’m not entirely sure what to take away from this review, though. It doesn’t really tell me whether the AE‑X is a good product or who it’s actually for. Most of what I’m getting is: there’s a driver to install, here’s what it looks like, and here’s what’s in the box. There’s a lot of emphasis on the SPDIF input. When you mention not needing to switch headphones between console and PC — does that mean the PC has to be powered on just to pass audio through? That seems like a fairly big waste of energy. Is this more something a streamer would use alongside a capture card? How are you testing the sound? (Also, you might want to clarify that you’re using the headphones in wired mode when you mention they’re wireless.) You mention the lack of EMI shielding — how much real‑world difference does that make compared with typical motherboard audio? On multi‑channel: what exactly isn’t supported? Does this mean Windows spatial audio (Dolby Atmos for Headphones, DTS Headphone:X, etc.) won’t work, or just that the card itself doesn’t decode surround formats? And are there any true multi‑driver “surround” headphones left that would even use that? You also highlight support for high‑impedance headphones — but what does that translate to in practice? How does it compare to driving the same headphones from a normal device, and does it make any difference for everyday, lower‑impedance models? In short, who is this card actually targeted at?
    • Yes, THIS is wordart, not the styling that can now be done. Wordart was all about those curvy words, that you could change the path of, like making words go around a circle. I don't think it can be done now, right?
