Neowin Giveaway: HP Data Vault X510 2TB

Dear Clueless,

A contest that clearly states "enter as often as you like" is NOT spamming when you do.

No definitely not, it's like your friend inviting you over and there's a bowl of candy on the table. He then says "Help yourself" and you start stuffing down

candy until that bowl is empty, 6 minutes later and you have a face full of chocolate and gummy bears.

That is how you behave as a human being, it's not about restraining yourself and taking it with a bit of moderation in every walk of life.

Sorry for being clueless.

As this thread has become a spam can, each user can now only enter once. The thought was to leave this thread as an open conversation and not spam grenade the thread, alas the internet has shows its true face again. You can only enter this contest once (total) to ensure fairness among all users and those who can?t enter multiple times per day.

Excellent (Y)

200 posts is bloody spam, 2 posts is not whatever way you look at it, you are just crying because you wasted all that time.

No, my beef is that they had past experience on how to run a contest, had time to consider all options, and set up their ground rules. Then, changed it up because people went with it and actually entered in as many times as they wanted.

I wasted no time. It took a fraction of a second to hit a digit and enter each time....all while working on another pc at the same time all while getting paid.

No because they thought people could handle it maturely and with some dignity, you just proved them wrong.

No, the candy bowl would be bottomless and each piece taken would replace itself. Endless number of possible entries = endless number of possible pieces of candy. Claiming someone is greedy or a glutton when the supply is infinite makes for a weak argument.

    • It's expensive, but I bet it will still sell out just like the Steam Deck and the Steam Controller
    • This is listed as a preview in WU for me. I usually don't grab them as previews; what's your opinion on it so far?
