Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" RELEASED

Maybe delay on Update Manager then? It's not like I can be doing something this simple incorrectly lol

Yea, they had last minute problems and had to respin the ISOs maybe they havent got round to sorting the update yet, should be with you in the next few hours

So you are telling me it's not possible to look it up?

I apologize, I didn't even notice your post. I am not familiar with a method of distinguishing the RC (with latest updates) from the final by a command (or an app anywhere inside Ubuntu), so my suggestion is you wait up a bit, and check the update manager to see if it comes up with anything (if it does, those are most likely the updates based on the final ISO). Chances are their servers are getting crushed, so I don't know how long it will take before the latest updates get into repositories.

Ah, I thought you were answering me.

I decided to try out the netbook edition instead. More fitting for my netbook :)

ok anybody having problems with resume i have tried several computers all have failed to resume

only my netbook & laptop seems to resume just gwibber crashes on resume

Resume meaning returning from sleep/suspend? I got lucky on my desktop with this, seemed to work without fault.

yes thats what i meant

I'm not sure what the problem is. I'm pretty much a noob to Linux, so unfortunately I can't provide much help. Maybe there is an ACPI/Power Management set of drivers you can download for the problematic PCs similar to Windows.

Also, I would check the BIOS of those PCs and see what the ACPI mode is set to. For Suspend to RAM to work I believe you need a mode that has S3 enabled, so either S1 and S3, or just S3.

I don't understand why they went and released it anyway with that bug.

I guess eventually they'll revise those ISOs they put up today.

I thought I read that they had delayed it because of a major bug. They did eventually revise the ISOs they had published earlier on if I remember correctly.

If only those poor souls had waited a little later to burn that CD-R

I was lucky that I didn't get home until later on, so I'm pretty sure I got the revised batch. laugh.gif

Just tested my Windows partition and everything seems to be fine. Booted in right away with any trouble.
