long time lurker but don't post that often. Noticed something odd for me in FF4 b3 and 4. My hard drive activity immediately after clicking a link is just way too much. This doesn't happen using FF4 b1 or b2. Used resource monitor and it is indeed coming from my profile folders cache. I created a new, blank profile and started FF with that profile, still the same result. While loading a web page my hard drive is almost off the charts even long after the page is loaded.

Yes, this has been happening to me ever since the Beta 3 builds were released. The same issue has been discussed in this thread with no solution: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1969673.

It is the only thing stopping me upgrading from Beta 2 to the latest trunk builds.

Does anyone know what might be causing this problem and whether or not they intend to release a fix?

Hi guys,

Since upgrading to the FF 4 beta, I've discovered that the new "Firefox" drop down menu is pretty useless for me as I'm constantly having to enable the menu bar. Is there a mod/add on to basically turn the new menu into a drop down version of the menu bar? IMO, it would work much better than the crippled button we have now.

Thanks :)

This is my code, seems to work for me.

#browser-bottombox, #status-bar, #status-bar > *, #nav-bar, #PersonalToolbar, #ybToolbar, #find-bar {

 background: transparent !important;
  color: #ffffff !important;
  text-shadow: #000000 1px 1px 2px, #000000 -1px 1px 2px, #000000 1px -1px 2px, #000000 -1px -1px 2px !important;
    -moz-appearance: none !important;
border: #000000 !important;
 font-weight: bold !important;

Yeah but you will still get the black bar when you have more than one tab open (Do a find on second tab to see it). If you have two tab open or more the transparent will not work anymore.

Right Click > Check "Menu Bar"

Enabling the menu bar disables the Firefox button.

Thanks, but I already knew that.

I'm not asking how to display the menu bar, I'm asking if there is a way to customize the context menu of the Firefox button so that it displays all the menu bar options. It's supposed to be a replacement for the menu bar, and I rather like it as such, I just want it to have the full functionality of what it's supposed to be replacing.

It won't have full functionality of menubar. It is going to have only most used functions, rest will stay where it was.
