+Tyranade Subscriber² Posted May 7, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted May 7, 2010 I have patched the 3 files needed to install custom themes on my laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and everytime I try to change the theme it switches back to the classic theme. Anyone know how I might be able to fix this?
+Anarkii Subscriber² Posted May 7, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted May 7, 2010 Are the themes in your Windows\Resouces\Themes folder?
Jen Smith
Sure the theme DLL's are patched properly? If anything, try UxStyle, foolproof and safer as theres no patching.

e-berlin.org
theres no patching. Well, actually there is patching, but it's done automatically.
Jen Smith
Well, actually there is patching, but it's done automatically. Semantics; personally, when I say patching I mean physically modifying a file on the disk, which UXStyle does not do. It modifies the services already loaded into memory. Figured out the problem, I didnt run the patcher with admin privileges >.<. D'oh! That'll do it :) Surprised it didn't kick out any errors when you tried to patch with normal privileges.
