What an insult in a compliment...

Arnold attempts to lift the spirits of American soldiers serving in Iraq, by telling them 'You Guys Are the True Terminators'. The terminators are robots out to kill off humans. I find it laughable that he chose to use those words to attempt to cheer them up...

that seems like sticking finger, and saying you guys are number one!!! :woot:

lol! off topic slightly. so you guys are backing someone going over there to uplift the spirits of our fine soldiers. it is a great 4th of july. finally we agree.

i dig arnold. he meant well by what he said. samoa is probably taking it wrong. its hard not to nowadays with all the anti-american comments we are constantly defending against.

You have got to love the man. He means well. I think it is a really great thing he has done to fly all the way out there and all to lift their spirits. Very noble (Y)

I totally agree. I was just pointing out how rather insulting it could be taken by his choice of words. His intentions I am certain were in the right place...

It did make me chuckle though.. :D

There was a 1st Terminator movie? :o

In T2 the Ahnold Terminator was a good guy. The Robert Patrick Terminator was a bad guy. From what I understand of T3, Ahnold is a good guy again.

The Terminator refs were ok because the Terminator is known and everyone roots for him no matter if he is good or bad. Comparing the troops to terminators lifts their spirits and lets them know that we think they can do anything. That's a good thing.

Arnold was a bad guy in the first movie. He was sent to assassinate John Connor. For the second movie, (in the future) John reprograms arnold to be his protector (in the past). That is why he is a good guy in the second...

hehe that is what I love about this series. It messes with your head (Y) :D

Couldn't agree more. Yupe I admit both Terminator and Terminator 2 were great! Excellent storyline too
