aem4162
My sincerest condolences on the loss of your beautiful car, Nekrosoft. GM hasn't completely dumped the Camaro and Firebird. You know they'll bring them back in a few years claiming that "it's time for the return of a classic" when it's really to boost sales.

Shibby
sos for not doing all the commas and full stops. Well the new Mini Cooper does not even look like the old one, they can not call it a Cooper because when the First min came out in the 60s, John Cooper did mods and upgrade like sup them up, Then Mini made the Cooper because it was made and designed by John Cooper, and now BMW got the mini and made the cooper and it not really been cooperfyd. And i tought i just say i love smart cars. Also not many people know it but they are really mercedes benz/chrysler, and are made in France, also anothing thing I HATE 4X4s they are pointless only like 2% only go off road. but that is IMO because we all can have have are allowed to have it :) now i am better leave the topic i think people mite be starting to hate me  /me walks off

Schmoove
Well I have a Suzuki Swift at the moment. I'm also a poor student :) It takes me were I want so I'm happy with it. Plus it's my first car, which I'm very fond of actually. Hope to drive one of these babies in the future (old Ford Mustang): A picture of my current car (the Suzuki (1995)), only cost me ?2200: Edited July 9, 2003 by Schmoove

nookadum
 Well, I'm not one of those 'yuppies', but when my dad gave me his car, I had to work hard to pay for my own gas, my own modifications, and [probably] my own repairs. TheFamousGeoff
Shibby: I agree with you entirely. My first car was an old mini, and it was hell to drive, but it was so much fun! If it hadn't rusted and died I'd still be driving it today :( Then there's the fact that the new mini isn't actually mini. Park it next to an old mini and you'll see what I mean. And I also agree with you on Smarts, they are so stylish. Would love my next car to be a Smart, but until the forfour is out they're just a bit impractical for my needs! And VW's I love. Current car is a 1.6 Polo estate. Not very stylish, but easy to drive, and it can move.... Edited July 9, 2003 by TheFamousGeoff
TheFamousGeoff
Also, just to add to the 'who-owns-who' list: Volkswagen-Audi group contains both VW and Audi, as already mentioned above. Also they own Seat (whose cars are basically VWs with a slightly less stylish front/back end and sold more cheaply) and Skoda. It was VW that were responsible for turning Skoda's image around from being a joke to a respected company... What else? Oh yes, Ford and VW worked together on the Galaxy / Sharan, both sticking their own badges on and selling them. Ford marketed theirs and VW didn't, which is why the Ford is better known. Shibby
that is right TheFamousGeoff i saw that when my mum and dad was looking at a VW polo and it was the same but a bit more nicer since fords are just YUK. they are rust buckets!!!!!! my my mum and dad had a brand new r reg escort esate from new and it was starting to rust!!!. smart kick ass i would love to have a go in roadster. also did'nt rover own own mini before they went to BMW?. i like audi alot cause of the bulid quality i love all germans bar u know the one BMW. my mum won an audi a2 :) we nicked named it the puddle jumper cause it was a fasssssssst little car, but we got rid of it cause it would cut out when under the plyons on the motor way(was not nice at all) and also somebody chucked a rock out the driver door and they was a big dent in it, and of course since it is aluminium hardly no one could work on it. also vauxhalls where good cars but now they just seem to be going bad with the vectra and the mpvs and the corsa seems Ok. also i think rovers/mg are ok cars. chun-tzu
I just bought a Dodge Dakota (2000) to replace the 89' Cavalier that I was driving since last summer. It was a piece of junk but it got me back and forth to work everyday. I'll never buy anything but a truck again.

I, on the other hand, am more reponsible than that. :p Besides, my dad wanted an off-roader/family vehicle so he had to give the Evo to someone.
