Yes, it makes the whole app transparent. My point was that it also makes the titlebars transparent too.

exactly...

XP doesn't support making JUST the title TitleBars transparent..

just because a program can make the whole window transparent doesn't mean that XP supports it.. when i refer to this.. i am refering to MSStyles... (i have been trying for quite some time, to have transparent titlebars in my OSX Skin for XP)

Besides... if he is claiming to not be using WB, i would like to know how he got the buttons on the Left side of the caption...

Windows XP Styles do NOT allow this...

Microsoft has disabled it in their coding....

does that mean there is a way to hack it so you can?

Anyone know how?

WeeJames

i drag it to the right side of the screen and then just size it off the screen, but then, for extra measures, i use winmac and tell it to hide windows taskbar

I do love os x but i think if i had a faster machine (g5) to run it on, it would be hella sweet.

but i only got a g4 500MHz. It is nice. I love iTunes and the Photoshop 7 beta is sweet. Office X is tite and carracho is a good p2p client.

xp is better right now, but OS x will catch up and I think OS X will be better by the end of 2002.

Of course that shot is fake. There's no AIM icon in the dock. Plus, the AIM window doesn't even have a shadow. PLUS, XP doesn't do those shadows.

Actually there are programs that allow you to add shadows to certain windows. So AIM doesn't need a shadow. The program's shadows and transparency can be done in WinXP by WindowFX.

    • Thanks for liking it! 😊 That's Arch Linux with Gnome.
    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
