Are you trying to use optical or the red/white plugs? Because I don't know why you would want to use Sethos' crappy method when the Xbox has it's own separate optical out.

well anyway...thanks for the feedback, good to know the heat is something universal to the new version. i am growing accustomed to it, and it's true it's different from the heat the previous versions gave off. this one doesn't seem to radiate as much, it's just the grille area that's hot.

The silver finish by itself is nice IMO. If they just had a limited edition 360S with a few different colors etc like what Sony did with the fat PS3 at one point, i'm sure a good number of people would get them.

Yeah, it looks matte, which I think it is. No gloss.

Not to mention the 360 actually allows multiple audio output, it'll output in all connected channels ... The PS3 will only do one, which is a royal pain in the ass.

Just so you know dude they added multiple audio support a firmware or two ago.

Use my headphones and soundsystem now without having to change anything.

BTW: The Halo: Reach console makes a Halo inspired sound when you turn it on, and another one (shield power up) when you eject the drive

Aye if it was the more stereotypical gun-metal gray it might look better. Atm it's fairly tacky.
