Oh, what I hate in Forza is that sometimes one car is the best in several groups! I remember in Forza 2, the Honda CRX dominated most of the lower group times.

That happened with a Nissan in FM3 as well, until T10 patched it :)

By the way AB, thanks for fixing that video. It was worth watching because that chick is freakin...wub.gifwub.gifjump.gif

After watching the Qore footage of this game... I'm sort of put off by how the cars seem to sort of just float on the track.... It is like they are not really touching the ground as much as you would think. Maybe it will be done better in the final product, but what I saw just looked very odd.

where is everyone pre-ordering from? might get one from shopto for ?35. cant see anyone beating that price.

was also talking to an employee in gamestop and he said that there will only be a smallish amount of games being sent to the shops. any truth in this or did he just want my ?2 deposit for a pre-order

I pre-ordered mine at JackofAllGames for ?31.99, which is the cheapest one in the UK, the last time I looked. The only catch is they charge you straight after you order, but it suits me in my situation. :p

Mines pre-ordered at Amazon for the Collectors edition, couldn't see anyone else with it.

I'm not going to lie, this post motivated me to watch the video :p .

LMAO at the car rolling over. I didn't even know that they had that feature in the game.

I noticed that too on that last video with the car rolling over.At the start of the race where the blue car takes the lead it looks like it is floating and has no contact with the street at all.

Reminded me of some 3DO games

The more I see this game, the less interested I am by it. Am I the only one? I enjoyed GT3, disliked GT4. I just hope all the stuff they have kept adding to the game doesn't effect the overall quality for the fans who have been waiting patiently for this! There is such a thing as "too much."

I do feel the same way but not because of your reason, more because I don't have the patience for these kind of games any longer and all my interest in the Playstation 3 is gone, my interest in the platform has hit an all-time low, so the games just whizz past me as well.

Cancelled my pre-order the other day.

Yes, give us less for our money :p

I too am aliitle worried about this game. The past 2 pre-orders I've had for games turned out to be "not what I thought". They where way over hyped....

..I'm keeping my pre-ordered cause I simply love the GT series...just hope I am not disappointed :pinch:

It's been in development for 6 years, I think they've had enough time to add everything without "affecting quality"

I swear those rain effects just look amazing, and If you can't be happy with this, you're just overcritical.

25 days to go... for the US at-least.

Launch party on October the 26th, so we don't need to wait that long in a sense :p

Well after next week i'm staying off the GT5 specific threads (Especially GTPlanet), cause i fear somebody will get their early copy and I don't want to ruin the feeling of seeing the game fist hand by me looking at youtube clips of the Intro Movie, menus, races etc.

That doesn't mean anything, there can and will be some quality issues. Been plenty of other games with long development and still end up having issues. However, we shall see but the wait has been long enough already.

Fair enough, don't know why such pessimism though, it's not like PD have a track record of shipping poor quality products, nor does the content in GT5 look half assed in anyway at all.

They took the extra time from last year to get it to where it is now, if anything that's promising.

Don't think you can really "spoil" a racing sim :p

Well GT5 prologue for me at-least was really good and i didn't see any glitches while racing, now before you bring bring up some BS YouTube intentional glitch clip note what i said (while racing) not going somewhere trying to force my car out of a barrier, online was okay sometimes although i don't prefer online racing due to some people driving like Asian stereotypes.:D

Prologue came out in 2007, aside from the actual graphical engine I think it's safe to say it's just a little bit outdated by now.

And tbh that's all it was, a graphical showcase and a beta test for online play. A purchase I regretted quite a bit, once the eyecandy was drooled over for a while, the substance of a normal GT was missed badly.

Think that goes to show why I've never ever bought any of the prologue titles before.

Prologue was crap because it failed at the most important thing in racing, the handling.

Academy Demo was a bit better but not a large enough sample of cars to test out the difference in handling.

Agreed 100%. But it appears they kept working on it and improving the physics. If they are at least as good as Academy, I will be fine with that.

From what people at these expos are saying, it's much much better.

    • Google are hyprocrites for signing this. They have been pulling the same dirty tactics as Microsoft, only they do it on Android and ChromeOS.
    • In some countries the law has forced Microsoft to display a menu on a fresh install of Windows which asks which web browser you want and it will install that browser. This doesn't add any bloat to Windows. It simply an additional step when setting up a new PC.
    • Chrome is also a first party browser on Android and ChromeOS. And on those systems, Google is pulling the same dirty tactics as Microsoft does on Windows.
    • Unofficial script lets you install unreleased Windows 11 features without Microsoft Account by Sayan Sen Microsoft has been steadily evolving the Windows Insider Program over the years, introducing new channels and testing paths that allow enthusiasts to experience upcoming and yet-to-be-released Windows features (some interesting hidden ones too) before they reach the public. However, one long-standing requirement has remained largely unchanged as users are generally expected to enroll in the Program and with a Microsoft account. That's where a third-party tool called "OfflineInsiderEnroll" can help. OfflineInsiderEnroll is said to be a lightweight script that enables access to Windows Insider Program builds on systems that are not signed in with a Microsoft account. Essentially the tool configures the necessary Insider settings locally and hence allows users to select and switch between available preview channels while continuing to receive builds through the normal Windows Update channel. If you are wondering how it manages to do so, it is made possible by a Registry value known as TestFlags. When configured to"0x20", Windows stops communicating with Microsoft's online Insider enrollment services thus preventing locally configured Insider settings from being overwritten. This allows the script to apply its own channel configuration directly through the Registry as Windows Update does not verify whether a device has been officially enrolled in the Insider Program or not. Previously the utility has had already supported the traditional Insider branches including Dev, Beta, and Release Preview. However following Microsoft’s recent restructuring of its preview channels, the script has now been updated. The latest OfflineInsiderEnroll version, 2.6.6, adds support for the newly introduced Insider channel lineup. As such, users can now choose from several Experimental channels in addition to Beta and Release Preview options. The update also retains tools for refreshing the Insider cache, resetting Insider settings, and completely stopping Insider enrollment when needed. Keep in mind though that will need elevated privileges when running the script (run as Admin). You can get the latest version of OfflineInsiderEnroll from this page on its official GitHub repo.
    • The "Classic" Outlook has done that for a few years as well. The option to even change that is really hidden away too... It really shouldn't be hard to respect user defaults. Sadly we are the product now, not Outlook. To change in the Classic Outlook: File > Options > Advanced > change "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in"
