That's awesome! and it's my birthday next month too happy.gif

It picks a car for you though, you don't get to choose it, but still a nice touch on there. Will be interesting to see what happens at Christmas, will all tracks be covered in snow etc? New Year = fireworks maybe?

My birthday is almost a year away :(. Maybe I should change my birthday for the game! ;)

Change the year as well, then you can easily get that trophy for getting a car made in or before 1959! :p

Loving it so far!!

Screen Tearing is only issue I'm having when turning a corner - and these load times are forever

Has anyone noticed a different between the first gen and the slim in performance? My buddy and I got home at the same time and he installed (the Full) about 30 minutes faster..... I have a 320GB harddrive I put in myself. Could that be the issue?

It's possible. I have read where it's taken anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes now depending on the different PS3 or HDD installed.

I've first gen 60gig model (with those media card reader), and it' took around 45 min to install but it didn't installed menus though. Every time I got into installation in progress on the bottom right of the screen, it was really annoying but after I went atleast once in all of them the next it loads a lot quicker.

Mine is a slim 160GB and it only took 25-30 minutes. Counter kept telling me 14 minutes though through most of the install, so was wildly inaccurate!!

after an hour mine went to "23 seconds remaining" for 5 minutes, then "24 seconds remaining" for 25 mins and finally "1-3 seconds remaining" for 5 minutes.

Has anyone unloced Top Gear Test Track, I'm telling you damn samba bus is like a wall in the middle of walls. Damn thing doesn't want to move.

samba bus is easy as hell compared to the lotus elise race. i got first in the samba, elise is going to be a lot harder to do...

Just got Gold/1st on the Samba.. it was tricky for sure. Going to do the lotus elise race after lunch :)

Yeah the Lotus Elise is driving me and my GF mad just now, spins out soo easily.

I swear it's going to be impossible to get Golds for some things without a steering wheel sad.gif

60mph tops basically, it's soo slow laugh.gif

The game is amazing, but has a few flaws which hopefully will be fixed over time. I would spend ?40 just on the karting aspect alone. I've never had so much with a driving game, and yes that includes Mario Kart.

Karting is definitely fun, especially skudding along at 80mph and hitting tight corners :p

karting is definitely fun. most fun i have had so far is doing kart with the dash view, the sense of speed is crazy.

and i just noticed the screen tearing now doing rally, and it was BAD.

i'm also lovin the soundtrack in the game, mainly electronic/house/progressive music which is what i mainly listen to anyways :) (deadmau5 remix of not alone by calvin harris (Y) )
