That damn Vitz/Yaris race, lol.

I did it fine on A-Spec, but my B-Spec driver was have some real trouble getting anywhere during the race, I ended up spending like 80k upgrading parts for the car and he was first within a matter of minutes and stayed there with a rather large gap, maybe I went overboard on the spending.

I only looked at B-Spec for a couple of minutes, but is there a way to fast-forward races? If not, I'm just gonna leave it alone.

I haven't seen anything while playing, so I'm pretty sure there is no fast forward button, lol.

Which is good, because I would feel like a right idiot if I had watched all these races so far and never found the FF button. :p

LOL tell me about it.

Is damage not unlocked at earlier levels?

Maybe it is in the GT Life mode or whatever it is called, but I know I quite easily crushed part of my car in arcade not long after I started playing.

And I was around level 10 when I nearly destroyed the front part of an expensive car on the Japanese Highway, and it didn't take long to get through the levels, I would assume if it is locked it is just so you don't destroy the cars when beginning out because you do have to repair the frame of cars after crashing them a lot.

You don't start the game in GT mode with vehicle damage unlocked. We've been told once you reach level 20 (we're only at level 11), you'll get access to realistic damage including mechanical problems and then, when you reach level 40, you get access to simulation-level damage where parts can fall off and cars can be completely totaled.

i've been avoiding that special for a while now...

Best just to jump in, make sure you check the driving options, they turn some stuff off which is why it is such a pain in the ass, a little fiddling can make it a whole lot easier than the kick in the balls it was beforehand, lol.

hmmm good idea.. I should do that.. lol. Btw, online--wise.. it's still not as smooth as Forza 3 so far. I was playing with Rapjutwarrior and I see him just glitching everywhere it's terrible. lol.

GT5p was the same way :(

Once you get the hang of it sliding around in the elise is a little bit fun :p

Getting gold in it though.... eh, no.

I can't even get bronze in the damn VW vans :(

I had gold on the VW one and on gambon i thought i'd try and cut it, like they do on the show and it disqualified me. I was annoyed after that, so every other try got worse. It isn't like it is difficult, it is just the AI doesn't get out your way and brakes way to early and for far too long. A lot of corners you can just go through without actually braking.

What I did on the Van.. was go into turns really late as well.. Some turns like Chicago you can get away with to take the inside and make sure you are in the right gear. It does get close to the end, you have to pass the leader at the last turn.

    • OpenAI is now rolling out Lockdown Mode to more ChatGPT users by Pradeep Viswanathan Back in February, OpenAI first announced Lockdown Mode for users who want the most comprehensive protection from potential attacks. At the time of the announcement, the company mentioned that this feature was available to a small set of highly security-conscious users, including executives or security teams at leading organizations. Today, OpenAI announced that Lockdown Mode is now rolling out to all personal ChatGPT accounts, including Free, Go, Plus, and Pro, and also self-serve ChatGPT Business accounts. Users can enable the feature from ChatGPT Settings > Security when it is available for their account. When Lockdown Mode is enabled, ChatGPT limits or disables several features that connect to the web or external services. These include live web browsing, Deep Research, Agent Mode, and more. Here is the complete list of services that will be disabled in Lockdown Mode: Live web browsing: Web browsing is limited to accessing only cached content. Search results may be limited, unavailable, or stale. Image support: ChatGPT may not display images in regular responses or retrieve images from the web. Users can still upload image files, and image generation remains available where it is otherwise available. Deep research: Deep research is disabled. Agent mode: Agent mode is disabled. Canvas networking: Users cannot approve Canvas-generated code to access the network. File downloads: ChatGPT cannot download files for data analysis. ChatGPT can still operate on your manually uploaded files. It is important to note that Lockdown Mode does not completely block prompt injections from appearing in content that ChatGPT processes. For example, a malicious instruction could still be present in an uploaded file or cached web content. However, the mode is designed to reduce the ways such an attack could send sensitive information outside the conversation. Along with Lockdown Mode, OpenAI today also announced that the Active sessions feature is now available across ChatGPT accounts and workspace types. This feature allows users to review where their account is signed in across devices and end sessions if required. A session will have the following information displayed: Device or browser information. First-party app context, such as ChatGPT, Codex, or API Platform. Approximate location. Sign-in date and time. Whether the device is a trusted device. Whether it is your current session. OpenAI highlighted that the Active sessions feature will not be available for accounts linked to an organization’s single sign-on setup, including SAML or OIDC.
