[Question] Airport Extreme VLAN Support

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure wherever to ask this in the Network forum or here, but I thought I put it here first and see if I can get my answer. I'm trying to set up my Apple Airport Extreme for my new internet connection, but it requires VLAN to be enabled. My question is, does my Airport support it and if not, which modem supports it? Does the new Time Machine support it? I've been meaning to find an excuse to get one :p .

Thanks.

What specifically about VLANS does it need to support?

Basically my internet connection comes with IPTV, so it's connected to the modem as well for me to view the channels given to me by my broadband provider. The modem that was provided to me is a modified D-Link DIR-615, such as the one here.

I can't find anything regarding it, I've look through all the settings on mine.

Damn, that means I have to use the modem that was given to me as a vlan bridge :( .
