"Keeping your PC running at top performance is not always an easy task. No matter how skilled you may be, one uneducated person on your computer can load it up with malware that will destroy the performance. But there are tools out there that can help with this type of situation and other issues that tend to hinder the performance of your PC. Neowin has linked up with MACECRAFT software to give away 25 copies of the jv16 Powertolls software.

The software comes with many tools that make keeping your PC running in top shape and free of common issues. The software can automatically clean your Windows registry from obsolete and unneeded data, automatically fix many kinds of registry errors such as broken file references, remove unneeded history data and MRU (most recently used) lists that can contain sensitive information about you and more!

Neowin will be giving away 25 copies of jv16 PowerTools to our loyal readers. To enter, visit this thread and post a reply. You can enter once per day for the five days of the contest. That's a total of five entries each reader can make, one per day only. Winners will be contacted via PM on the forums so make sure to register to be able to enter. All winners will be selected after the last day of the contest July 4th (winners picked on July 5th). Good Luck!

You can download a trial of the software here and dont worry if after thirty days you didnt win or decide to not keep the software, there is no nagware to annoy you. We will provide a licenses to the selected winners."

      "This transition will take several years so we shouldn't bother doing it at all" is a naive take. This is completely normal for all specifications that cross-cut software, hardware and multiple industries. Look at the PCI specification for another example, consumers barely have PCI-E 5 yet PCI-SIG is working on PCI-E 8. AV2 will take multiple years to get adoption and even then, even a decade from now people will still have older hardware that doesn't support it. That's fine, because the savings still add up as newer devices add the hardware to deal with it. The goal is never to get 100% on the new spec overnight, but to gradually adopt it.
