Brazil fan kills himself after World Cup loss

Very amatuerish article. Nowhere in it did it say how they "knew" the person did this because of the outcome of the game.

This man was in Haiti, a country where just a few months ago 230,000 people were killed by an earthquake. How many family members did this man lose? Did he have a job? A home?

And to you guys this is all a big joke and you're so quick to judge a complete stranger. Quite classy.

I sincerely hope none of you ever have someone close to you commit suicide. It might not be so funny then.

Maybe the idiot should properly write an article with the facts in it ...killing yourself cause you're team didn't win is about the equal of me causing a 30 car pile up on the freeway because i was mad the Celtics lost the NBA Finals... then let me blame it on the recession as to why I did it...

Exactly what I was going to post. It's a sensationalist article and these poeple bought it. Hype media ftw lol.

why are people complaining, he isn't going to come back to life and say sorry, probably did it out of a random crazy though like a lot of suicides.

Because he harmed others in the process of killing himself - the people in the car, especially the driver.

This is horrible but you guys are laughing :(

I don't see many people laughing. I think the general consensus is that this is sad, but the selfish person harmed the driver of the car (and possibly those inside) as well as his family (possibly), when he committed suicide. That's awful and I don't see how anybody could have any sympathy for such a selfish person.

Yes, it is certainly important to point out that he may have committed suicide for other reasons, but that doesn't take away from the fact he put the driver of the car in danger and could have possibly emotionally harmed the driver of the car quite badly. If he felt he had to commit suicide, he could have done so in a way which only harmed himself and his family (because either way, committing suicide is most like going to harm one's family, which makes it a selfish act as it is).

I'm not surprised to see the majority of comments involve calling him stupid because he takes the game "wayyy too seriously". It could be he was mentally ill already, depressed or even suicidal. Or as one of the previous posters mentioned, a bad bet which ruined his life could have pushed him over the edge.

I'm sure if it was one of your mothers' you would not wish for people to be quick to judge.
