Thanks for replying, but that just changed the star icon in the url bar. That's not what I am looking for. I am looking for a style or extension that will change the Bookmarks Menu icon into the yellow star, so I can have it on my navigation toolbar. The yellow star stands out and is instantly recognizable. I don't like the ugly gray one that Firefox uses by default. I do kind of like the one used in the Strata theme, but I am looking for one with the yellow star. Anyone know how to make one if I get you the image? Thanks!

I'm not sure you still understand what it is he's asking for. He wants to change the icon of the bookmarks menu button (I think he means the button that shows a drop-down list and not the one that opens the sidebar; please clarify).

LOL! Thanks for the illustration. Yes, that is what I am trying to do. I want to change the ugly, gray Bookmarks Menu that shows a drop-down list of my Bookmarks into a yellow star, which I can place on my toolbar. One icon, one yellow star, that's instantly recognizable, so I know which one has my Bookmarks. The way it is done in the Australis mockups, but without the Australis theme. I have tried the Australis extension and the Classic Tabs user style , but I don't really like it. I tried the Custom Buttons extension, but it never works consistently. There must be bugs with newer versions of Firefox. Can anyone try Custom Buttons and create one like I want? See if you can actually get it to work all the time, cause it only works sometimes for me.

Thanks, I have that in Firefox 20. He may be able to get that by using Toolbar Buttons Oh and he brought up the yellow star.

How is the work coming along? You said you were going to add that. I would like that very much! The way it is done in the mockups. The yellow star icon should replace the default, gray icon that opens up the Bookmarks Menu. Not the Bookmarks Toolbar Menu, or the sidebar. I would like to put that on my navigation toolbar and have it separate from the URL bar. Like it is in the Australis mockups. Let me know. Thanks!

This extension will allow me to add custom buttons to the toolbar? I'm not looking for icons in the right click context menu. I want the yellow star and for it to open the Bookmarks Menu drop-down list on the navigation toolbar. Thanks!

The Nav bar is a toolbar, that extension will do what you want it do. I am not talking about the RC context menu.

I know about that extension and have been using it, but it doesn't have what I want. I was asking about the other extension. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cutebuttons-crystal-svg/

Anyone know the code for increasing font size on websites and/or adding bold? I just want the text of websites to be larger, but sometimes when you change that in options, then the page layout gets all messed up. I've tried zoom extensions, and it's the same thing. Very frustrating. Also, is there a way to word wrap text? Thanks!

Well I'm ashamed to admit I've been playing with Chrome a little and I've grown to like it's new menus. Especially the drop down menu that pops up when you type in the url that goes across the entire top of the screen. And the other menus are nice, too, even if they could be a little more compact.

Anyone seen any scrips to emulate them in Firefox? I'm using Firefox 20 right now if that matters.

A long time ago I posted in this thread and got some assistance with getting a nice flat top-side so to speak to Firefox and now that I've committed to using v38.0.1 I could use a wee bit of assistance once more. I've done some testing and edits but it's all been just an abysmal failure so far and I can't seem to get what I'm trying to do. I'll let the image speak for itself and if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

Thanks...

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
