This is a great theme :D.... But I have a small problem, I have used the uxtheme patcher both the x64 and the x86 patcher.. The theme itself works... I replaced the Explorerframe.dll in SysWow64, but when I replace the Explorerframe.dll in the system32 folder explorer.exe wont start when windows starts. Im I doing anything wrong?

I had that issue before, but I couldn't do certain things in explorer.

Then I realised, you aren't supposed to change the ExplorerFrame.dll in the SysWOW64 folder. Only change then System32 ExplorerFrame.dll

well it wont work if u copy explorerframe.dll to both system32 & syswow64 folders

they are 2 diff files that need to be edited

so what i do is i open a resource hacker copy the bitmap folder from system32 explorerframe.dll then replace syswow64 explorerframe.dll bitmaps

no problems

There is a 64bit and a 32bit explorerframe.dll included with the theme... but I will try your solution thanks... :)

you don't need to change the syswow64 version, you should never have to change that version

only change the one in system32

wanna bet ?

if you save something in google chrome the back/forward buttons are set to windows default

thats one of the reason for replacing syswow64 explorerframe.dll

I replaced the bitmaps in the 32bit explorerframe.dll and no errors on startup this time, but I didn't see any changes to the back buttons.... Im now using the orginal explorerframe.dll together with the Blend theme, it still looks good  . I don't wanna spent more time on getting the explorerframe.dlll to work :p Anyway thanks for your help

I replaced it as instructed....here's how it looks in firefox now.

blend2p.jpg

strange...after I applied the fix and saved and rebooted it locked me out of my system...

I was only able to get back in by going into 'safe mode' and changing the theme to something else

and then replacing with the original Blend 2.0 files.

any thoughts on that Zain ? or did I do something wrong when saving the file?

did u replace it with the SHIFT key?

im sorry.

u replaced it just fine.. mayb it saved wrong or something..

its a little darker but thats what i had to do to fix the problem..

guys is it fine?? i mean should i repack the theme with this fix?

yes I used the 'shift' key as instructed Zain.

it appeared to save the theme successfully and asked did I want to apply...to which I said yes.

it was only after the reboot that the problem surfaced...very strange indeed...only seems to happen when I replace an image.

the first release of Blend 2.0 Beta doesn't appear to have the firefox problem though Zain...

did you change something from that version to the Final version?

screenshot shows Firefox with original Blend 2.0 Beta running...

blend2beta.jpg

obviously i had to make a button with round corners for blend 2.0

the problem is that i can make an opaque one.

but it wont go with the rest of the buttons in the theme... thats my only concern. anyhow if it works im gona pack the theme with that file and update it.. and u guys can let me know if it works.. ill post here when i update it.

    • WordArt was cool. We now have color fonts as a substitute although Word only supports COLRv0 and COLRv1 (Fraud OS 11 only). The OpenType SVG color font format needs to be supported by Office. Adobe's apps support it
