ElGato
OK, I have begun to get a lot of javascript errors, and it's beginning to really get on my nerves, Started last week or so, I've reinstalled MS JVM, but still I get problems, anyone got any ideas how to fix?? ebinfo
do you have any sort of URL where i could go browse and get an eye on that and see what could be the problem ?
glancep
I'm don't wanna sound like a jackass or anything here, but I should point out that Javascript and the MS JVM are essentially unrelated. JVM is for Java, which is not at all the same as Javascript. To help you though, we'll probably need a sample URL, as stated in the previous message. ElGato
This site gives a shed load of errors for me, every time I visit. http://www.windrivers.com/ There are others that give one or two errors but not all the time which seems odd. This one gave me a couple of errors the first visit today, http://www.betanews.com/, but none since, :s Correction if I re-visit in the same browser session its OK, but a new browser will have the errors. glancep
Hmmm.... no idea what your problem is... I was able to load both of those pages without incident (and I can't believe WinDrivers is requiring PAID membership now! Doh!). What errors are you getting specifically? Hummer
i think that this is the error everyone is talking about or something like it.
ebinfo
Well, if this is an error which is located on a website that is not under your control, i suppose that you have two choices 1 ) either sit tight and wait for the webmasters to fix the errors 2 ) ask friends around to see if they got the same errors as yours but let me think,,, What is the browser you are using, and what is the version ? Here i'm in WinXP and i tried it with IE 6.0 and it loaded like a charm with no popups of any kind... without knowing further infos, my guess would be that your the website is using a specific javascript command, but your browser is not recent enough (IE 4.0 even if it sounds surprising). I would try updating my browser to the latest version and see what happens.
Ghostdraconi
I used to experiance the same thing in ie6 so I just disabled script debugging and never had a problem since. Hope that helps

Yep, that's the error, and I'm sure when I first installed XP it was fine, (not absolutely clear on that though). Running XP Pro + IE6
glancep
As suggested earlier, disabling script debugging (Tools > Options > Advanced [tab] > under "Browsing") might help, but I've got the debugging enabled and I'm not getting the errors you're seeing... weird.
