I haven't seen anyone do effective dropshotting as I was playing Hardcore and thought people were blowing it a bit out of proportion. Then by some random coincidence I was thrown in a Softcore S&D game where the very first guy I follow in spectator as I wait to join does the dropshooting constantly and was very effective. So apparently, the crappy nature of Softcore allows this tactic and makes it effective. Glad people don't get away with that crap in Hardcore without getting punished by bullets within a second.

So the usual then, game comes out, everyone jizzes their pants and a week later everyone is complaining about how broke the new COD is? rofl.gif

What a shock. Glad I stuck to my promise and gave it a miss.

CoD is dead. It might have the sales, but it doesn't have the soul!

I'd imagine the stronger power of the guns in HC mode makes all the difference. In normal mode you lose simply by having to adjust your firing downwards whereas prone gets an accuracy boost - that makes all the difference and you end up losing out if you both start off on an even keel.

It's not an issue yet but it sucks when you get a nice server with a good crowd then two rounds later it's full of proners

God you are dumb as a barn door, definitely my fault the matchmaking servers aren't working - Are you even talking about the 360 version  ?

Anyone here can confirm they don't work very well with parties at the moment, it's neigh on impossible to play with friends especially when you are more than 3 in the party, it goes all to hell. All this because you get offended over ruining other people's playing experience.

I wonder if this is mostly an issue in Europe? I haven't had any of those issue. I ran in a party this entire weekend. TDM and Combat Training, usually had 4-5 peeps in the party.

Anyone getting frequent host changing?

Twice so far.

I hate Jungle. Stupid map.

One of my favorites actually

Has anyone ever had people talking crap online? As in, "I'm better than you. You're bad!" It almost always ends in the same way. They talk smack for doing well in one TDM game and leave once you start owning them. Funny thing is, all the crap talkers have poor ratios (e.g. less than 1.2).

I spend so much time in parties, so I have not. But when I am not in a party, it seems everyone else is in a party when I join games based on the party icon next to their name and the lack of conversation.

Actually yes.. I am in Ohio and I would say that 2/3 matches I play have AT LEAST 1 host change...I hope they fix this soon because its getting annoying real quick!

Noticed this last night. One game actually changed host about 3 times in one round. one time I was actually arming the bomb on demo and then when we reconnected i died

I was prone on nuke town when I got killed, from his kill cam I saw that before he shot the crap out of my face, he spawned next to me, then someone else next to him and then someone directly on me.

Definitely one funky spawn system, lol.

I'm surprised how small nuke town is considering how much of a level is there compared to the space you play in, be a better level with that extra room that isn't blocked off.

It's not. Running parties of 3-6 and we usually take two or three times before we get into a match all together. Either everyone is booted or some people end up in X game while others end up in Y game.

No host changing I've experienced. Just constantly playing on a ****ty hosts. Wish it would host change.

Ah, well that sucks :( Glad it hasn't been happening to us (then again, who is to say it won't ;))

I've just won another copy of this for 360...I win nothing for years and suddenly I win Borderlands and Black Ops within the space of a week! o_O

I wonder if it's possible to trade a new 360 game and get a PS3 copy for it somewhere with no hassle? Anyone know if that's possible?

You can probably go to a store with the version you've got and say that you bought the wrong format. You might be able to get a refund and swap it.

Refund and swap? Are you sure?

Meh, I think I'll just sell it. I'll never play it on PS3.

I've done it before - I won a xbox game but only had a ps3. Took it to gamestation and explained my elderly grandmother bought it for me but for the wrong console and lost the receipt.

It was still in the wrapper so they were happy to trade it for the ps3 version.

Finally got a chance to play the game, I have only played the first level of single play so far and I am loving it. I personally think the game looks better the MW2. Going to play so more, hopefully I enjoy the multiplayer because MoH was a let down...

Nope - achievements are Normal and above only.

Sucks :(. It's gonna take me a long time to pass Nova 6 without dying.

Well that was uninformed, I went through getting intel and other achievements on recruit, any of the level based ones you shouldn't have a problem getting on any difficulty.

Just finished the campaign last night.

Up until now, my favorite video game campaign has been MW2. Now, it's officially Black Ops. And it has nothing to do with some allegiance to the CoD franchise over any other. For me, this campaign was just absolutely perfect. Usually I get the campaign out of the way to focus on MP, but now that it's over, I just want to go back and play through it again.

And I'm not a snob about story lines in video games, but this one was terrific. I'm so pleased.

Really hoping MP is as good. Time to talk the boyfriend into picking up a copy, so that I'll have someone to play with. Not that I mind going lone wolf, should I need to.

    • JetBrains launches Rider 2026.2 EAP 5, bringing several AI improvements by David Uzondu JetBrains has released the fifth EAP version of Rider 2026.2, bringing a faster startup flow with the new non-modal startup screen and quality-check hooks for Claude Code and Codex. In the latest EAP release, Rider now has newly bundled "quality-check" hooks that run background tests on code edits before the external agent proceeds. For example, after Claude Code rewrites a class, Rider immediately triggers a PostToolUse hook that analyzes the code for syntax errors and formatting warnings. It then passes those findings back to the model as feedback, allowing the agent to fix its own output before finalizing the task. If Rider detects compilation errors, the IDE prevents the agent from treating the task as complete, while minor formatting warnings simply help guide the model toward better output. The "Explain with AI" feature can now tackle tricky build errors directly from the console, helping .NET developers who frequently wrestle with multi-targeting failures and MSBuild errors. JetBrains introduced Explain with AI back in the 2024.1 release cycle. With this feature, instead of forcing developers to copy long diagnostics into a separate chat window, Rider now lets you trigger these explanations directly from the error source. In similar EAP news, JetBrains recently opened the first EAP for IntelliJ IDEA 2026.2, with features that appeal to both those who are into AI-assisted coding and those who prefer "classic" manual development. For manual developers, the release adds revamped dependency completion for Maven and Gradle build scripts, which pulls data directly from the local cache to suggest relevant versions. It also brings the Spring Debugger update, displaying security indicators next to endpoints to visualize secured routes during runtime. In addition to database migration tools for Flyway and Liquibase, this build introduces a Hibernate debugger that shows the exact SQL or HQL queries that the framework plans to execute, letting developers jump directly to the Java code that triggered them.
    • I have updated my Series 9 Watch so I assume there is either a mistake in what was said, or as suggested - the new AI feature set isn’t supported on anything other than those listed above.
