Quillz
But does it fix the incredibly annoying IPB issue where the previously opened tab is reopened when trying to reply to a topic on, say, Neowin? SaltLife
Perhaps the issue with safari and the open tab was a problem all along, and they fixed a long term issue... That IPB has not come along and fixed yet.... (reverted to a normal browser) I'm still convinced that IPB does somethign special for the safari browser because if you watch it using the developer tools it doesn't fail until it loads safari specific code. On Neowin or any board that runs IPB, either QUOTE a message or use the FAST REPLY. The last tab you closed will reopen again, and steal the focus. This did not occur in Safari 4 and has been in every release of 5. Yep, just tried. Can't do it. I really find it hard to believe the bug affects everyone else except for you. Are you using some kind of custom WebKit build? Because this only occurs with Safari, and it happens on both Mac OS X and Windows. It does not happen with any other WebKit browser on any other platform. I seriously can't make it happen. Standard Safari 5.0.2 with a few extensions (none of which affect Neowin).
