Wish I could reproduce this. lol I've never been able to do this in Safari 5 and I've used it every day since it was released.

Me neither. But then again I haven't experienced real issues at all with Safari 5. So far has been smooth sailing on my former Mac Pro and current iMac. My mom is using Safari 5 full-time on her eMac running Mac OS X Leopard and I haven't heard her running into any troubles either. Except for that one banking website that still only fully works with Internet Explorer.

What model Mac do you have? It just seems so strange that you are the only person I know of who hasn't had this bug. Just seems so odd.

I tried to reproduce that bug so many times before, but couldn't either. Not even with the initial version of Safari 5. I'm running the browser on the following Macs:

2010 iMac running Mac OS X Snow Leopard v10.6.4 (10F2061)

2009 Mac Pro running Mac OS X Snow Leopard v10.6.4 (sold it recently)

2005 eMac running Mac OS X Leopard v10.5.8

2003 eMac running Mac OS X Leopard v10.5.8

Annoying IPB bug is still present for me.

Happens on mine too, has been since they released 5. Running early '10 mini and '10 13in Macbook.

Happens on all IPB boards, I'm still convinced it's some type of specific js/code targeted to how it handled safari 4 and below.

How is it possible that some are affected and some not? I'm finding it extremely weird that some have a couple of major issues with Safari 5, while I'm not experiencing any. At least not any new ones compared to Safari 4. Obviously the occasional site doesn't work, but even that becomes rare.

But does it fix the incredibly annoying IPB issue where the previously opened tab is reopened when trying to reply to a topic on, say, Neowin?

This happens to me - it's incredibly annoying!

Until they update the UI on Windows, i'll stick to IE9.

Open a new tab and load say google on it, close the tab, and then press reply on a post

Didn't happen for me. Sucks that some people are having problems.

Only issue I have with Safari is Safari for Windows on one particular site crashes :(. Doesn't crash on Mac OS X version.

I like the layout, and i like the speed of Safari. I also like the bookmark syncing between all my devices.

This is still an issue on my new mid 2010 iMac. Starting to get a little annoying.
