Want to watch concert on TV - Mp4 format?

I just downloaded a concenrt in MP$ format so can only watch it with VLC player - i tried burning it but my dvd player doesnt let me watch mp4 formats

is there something i can convert an mp4 to avi then burn it so i can watch on my dvd?

Mac or Windows?

If you have a Mac, then you could either use Handbrake or Burn. If you have Windows, Xinok posted a handy freeware alternative list that includes converters.

burn just converted it to mpg?

it doesnt give me the chance to put it into avi

my dvd only plays avi's i think - anyone know what i can do?

Use a proper DVD authoring program to make a real DVD Video. Maybe Windows DVD Maker? I think that would work with it.
